Apex Packs are loot boxes that provide random cosmetic items. There are three types of Apex Packs:
- Regular Apex Packs: they come in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities, and guarantee at least one item of the same or better rarity;
- Collection Event Apex Packs: they always come in Epic rarity, and guarantee one item from the Collection Event it was obtained from;
- Thematic Apex Packs: they always come in Rare rarity, and are split into two subtypes:
- Legend Thematic Packs: they guarantee one Rare or better item that hasn't been found yet for the Legend they are tied to;
- Event Thematic Packs: they guarantee one Rare or better item that hasn't been found yet for the Thematic Event they are tied to.
The categories from which the items contained in the standard pool are pulled from are listed as following:
These are the chances for at least one item to drop in higher quality than Common. A few things to note:
- Apex Packs do not drop duplicates. If an item already owned is chosen to drop again, it'll be converted in Crafting Metals.
- There is no reported chance for a Rare item to drop outside of the % chance in Rare Apex Packs. The chance for more Rare items to drop could be around 50%, but this is just an estimate.
- Rare items not already in possession take priority over Rare duplicates, which is why Rare Crafting Metals are harder to find compared to the other rarities since Common, Epic, and Legendary items instead are fully random.
- A Legendary item is guaranteed to drop in the next Pack after 29 Packs are opened without finding any.Collection Event Packs and Thematic Packs do not count towards this.
- Heirloom Shards are guaranteed to drop in the next Pack after Packs are opened without finding any, unless all Heirloom Sets are already owned or the total amount of Heirloom Shards already in possession are enough to buy every Heirloom Set currently available in the Heirloom Store.Collection Event Packs do not count towards this, and Heirloom Shards cannot be found in them.
- When Heirloom Shards are found, the Pack is not consumed.

If youre looking for an Apex Legends heirloom pack calculator, youre in the right place. We mentioned it previously in our How to Get Heirloom Shards guide, but I wanted to make it more clear for everyone. Continue reading our guide below to learn how this pack tracker works.
Use the Apex Packs Calculator to See How Many Packs You Have
Creator Mike Zarandona made the Apex Packs Calculator for players to track how many packs theyve gotten so far. It uses information like your account level, amount of treasure packs, battle pass levels, and more. Take a look at the calculator here for all your heirloom tracking needs. And if youd like some help understanding how the tracker works, continue reading below.
The image below shows an example of what your progress will look like after inputting data on the Your Activity tab. Once youve entered all your relevant levels, swap back to the first Progress tab to see the picture below. If youre not sure where to find each seasons level, click the level number or rank next to your name in the Apex Legends lobby.
Zarandonas Apex Packs Calculator also has a few settings for if youve purchased packs or gotten them through other methods. According to the Your Activity tab, some players have reported receiving more packs than normal.
Therefore, if youre one of them, you can add those in the Bugs + Misc Packs area for them to count. If you have any problems or questions regarding the apex calculator, feel free to ask in the comments below.
Every Heirloom Currently in Apex Legends
There are currently 10 different heirlooms in Apex Legends. As explained in our other guide, they tend to launch alongside Collection Events where you can get them for free. Otherwise, youll need to get lucky with the 1 in Apex Pack heirloom chance.
This is why the calculator mentioned above is useful for seeing how close you are. Regardless, each legends heirloom is listed below alongside their name. Its worth mentioning that not every character currently has one, but more are being added over time.
Which heirloom do you think has the best design? Its definitely a hard choice between cool-looking ones and silly ones like Mirages Too Much Witt statue. I think Id have to go with Pathfinders Boxing Gloves myself. Be sure to let us know which heirloom you get first!

For Apex Legends fans eager to know how close you are to unlocking that elusive heirloom, one players got you covered.
Apex players are guaranteed at least one heirloom after opening packs. One savvy fan designed a calculator that helps you determine how many packs you’ve opened, creating a step-by-step breakdown using your account level, event, and battle pass progress.
Here’s how the Apex Packs Calculator works.
Players first begin by inputting their Account Level, found above your head in the in-game lobby. Once that’s in, the calculator automatically generates how many packs you earned from those levels.
The calculator then prompts you to input your level for each season, as well as if you purchased the battle pass. To determine what level you achieved in past seasons, players can go to any legend’s “Banner” tab and find the badge for that season.
See Apex Legends on Amazon
Theres also an option to input how many Apex packs you purchased from the store, as well as entries for events, quests, and Twitch Prime members.
Once all the information has been added to the calculator, it immediately tells you the number of packs bought and how close you are to So players under the percent mark may want to reconsider buying over Apex packs for a guaranteed chance at an heirloom.
Though Respawn does promise at least one heirloom per packs, its completely possible to open the legendary item at any point in time.
You know, Len (it was already easier for me to address the Queen in this way) of the two of us personally, I do not apply. For such a high position. Again, a wave of her eyelashes told me that I was not mistaken in choosing an answer. I reached for the champagne bottle to refill the glasses. Wait, we'll need some more champagne.
