Product Description
Recovery Suit for Cats
The Recovery Suit from Suitical is a bodysuit made from a light, breathable fabric, which is easy to put on and fastens with press studs. For incontinence, an absorbent liner may be added to the Recovery Suit.
This suit differs from the Recovery Suit for Dogs, in that the opening at the tail of the Recovery Suit for Cats is larger, so your cat can easily use the litter tray without the suit having to be removed.
The Recovery Suit can be used for different purposes:
- After surgery: By wearing the Recovery Suit, your cat will have less stress, anxiety and insecurity. It is difficult for your cat to reach the wound, but as the suit is not too tight around its belly, it is comfortable and sufficient air can reach the wound, allowing it to dry. The inside of the stomach area is light blue, so that any fluid leakage can easily be seen. Cats often shaved before surgery, which can cause the body temperature to drop. The Recovery Suit will help to keep your cat warm.
- For skin disorders: The Recovery Suit protects the skin from injuries caused by scratching and biting.
- For incontinence: When your pet wears the Recovery Suit, your house is protected from urine stains. Compared to other similar suits, the probability of the cat being able to remove the Recovery Suit is lower.
How do I put the Recovery Suit on my cat?
- Step 1: First pull it over the head, then insert the front legs through the holes.
- Step 2: Pull the Recovery Suit over the cat's body, as far back as it will go.
- Step 3: Place the ends between the hind legs and fasten the press studs at the back. Make sure there is enough space for the tail.
Washing instructions
The Recovery Suit can be machine washed at 30º Celsius.

What size should I order for my cat?
It's important to know how to measure your pet properly to ensure that you purchase the right size. The How to determine the right size for my pet article offers insight and tips on the best way to do this!
Measure your cat from neck to tail, for an estimate of the size needed. If in doubt, tighter is more preferable than too loose. The following sizes are based on the length between the neck and tail, as shown by the arrow in the picture.

What if the suit doesn't fit?
Because we are often faced with returns of dirty or worn Recovery Suits, the following conditions apply for trying on and/or returning a Recovery Suit. The Suit can be removed from the packaging and held up next to the cat in order to check whether it fits. For hygiene reasons, the Recovery Suit cannot be returned if it has come into contact with the cat, if it is dirty, stained, worn, smells, contains cat hair or has been washed after use.

I bought 4 recovery suits two from here and two smaller ones elsewhere. These were a gift to a cat charity, because my daughter's cat needed one a few weeks ago until she was put to sleep and the recovery suit helped the cat enormously. The vets would sew up the suits to fit smaller cats so I bought four different small sizes as a Thank You gift to the charity.

I bought this suit to allow my cats wounds to heal but after only wearing it for a week, he has managed to scratch quite a few larger holes in it. It won’t last very long. However he does look a Cool cat wearing it!

Bought this for my cat as she had an anxiety issue and was aggressively licking at her fur around her neck leaving bald patches, this suit really helped her and eventually she stopped with the scratching and licking, would highly recommend

Best of the bunch...but....unfortunately have had to buy far, far too many of these And not cheap! Cat has a wound on back which he can lick, scratch and worry until raw with problem healing. 1. Material is soft and can be ripped easily by a determined cat with sharp claws. 2. Have had to make repairs and patches on daily basis. 3. Collar too high and grippy and has to be cut down for comfort. 4. Poppers can be chewed and opened by my cat so have to secure with gaffer tape. 5. Cat has twice returned without coat! -probably left it on someone’s sofa!! General design good but rip-proof material would help a lot.

Loops for a cat collar
There are loops around the neck on the inside of the Suit. Your cat’s collar can be pulled through these loops and attached. It makes it even more difficult for your cat to squeeze out of the Recovery Suit®.
Soft stretch band
A soft, elastic and protective stretch band around the front and hind legs and around the tail ensures that the Recovery Suit® does not rub and cut into the legs and tail of the dog. Cats can move and heal in complete freedom. However, it is important to make sure that your cat is fitted with the right size, and to make sure that the shirt is not too tight.
For animals where the surgical area and/or dermatological problem runs between the shoulder blades towards the neck, it is desirable for this area to be protected as well. Therefore, the Recovery Suit® is equipped with a longer, soft, elastic neck protective collar.
Blue inner layer & pocket
The interior of the Recovery Suit® is partially light blue so fluid loss can be checked by the veterinarian or owner. In the event of fluid loss, a sanitary towel can be applied on the inside of the suit or between the double layer. If necessary, an ice pack can also be inserted between the double layer.
Fully closed design & specially tailored opening
In many cases, the surgical area for the cat is very close to the urination area. The shirt is completely closed (regardless of gender) to ensure that the entire torso of every physique is protected. Due to the specially tailored opening on the back, the majority of cats can use the litterbox while wearing the shirt fully closed. It is recommended to always supervise your cat and check for urine strains on the shirt after using the litterbox.
Press studs for good fixation
It is very difficult for the cat to open the Recovery Suit® because the closure is at the rear. However, it is quick, safe and easy for the owner or veterinarian to put on and take off. We advise to close all press studs to keep the shirt perfectly in place.

With cats, the head must be inserted first into the shirt followed by each front leg (separately) into the openings provided. The Suit should then be pulled back as far as possible over your pet’s body. The two straps on the belly side are secured by threading them between the rear legs and then connecting the snaps to the upper section near the base of the tail. Make sure that there is enough room for tail movement.
It is comfortable, hygienic and can be washed at 30º Celsius. Do not place items in the dryer, must be air dryed.

Great for Spays/Not Recommend For Neuters

I want to start off with the good review so initially this product is great for spayed Kittens/Cats cover the abdomen area where the producer was made, Gave me peace of mind kept it clean and dry as promised it kept her from licking the incision which she did a lot but the suit protected her. I highly recommend for spays. On the other hand I don’t recommend for neutered males as it leaves the incision uncovered/unprotected which defeats the whole purpose of this suit It really sucks as I had really had high hopes n expected it to work on my neutered male, Guess will have to purchase a comfy cone. Purchased these adorable recovery pieces for my kitten (a flower ecollar and a Camo print body suit together); unfortunately my kitten was just a wee too petite and I called to return the items. To my surprise, they informed me to keep them (suggested donating which I am totally going to do) and refunded me entirely 100%. Simple as 1-2-3! I wish I would have known this existed long before I adopted my 2nd cat! With my first kitten I struggled to keep her from licking her spay wound and she got an infection! With my 2nd kitten this suit has been a dream! The only issue I had with this suit is that the collar was extremely tight and went up too high, I actually cut the seam so my kitten wouldn’t feel like she’s being choked. It could have been me projecting, but I still broke out the scissors! Not expecting to need this ever again, but would highly recommend vs. the traditional “cone of shame”.

I love this little outfit, it covers everything needed for a female. It worked great for a whole 2 hrs after getting her and bringing her home. It was my husband that noticed she got out of it. When we inspected the outfit, we noticed it was still buttoned. It was after she got out of it a 2nd time that we noticed she was a magician and gave up.

I got this suit the day after my cats surgery and all I can say was its a saving grace. I got the cone from where I got her fixed and the poor baby was just not comfortable with the cone. When I came across this I was wondering at first would it be worth the money. I can say without a doubt that it is so worth it. Will be washing and using the same outfit when I take her sister into get fixed next. Love how your animal can still do normal everyday things without having to worry about taking the cone off and on when they have to eat or use the litter box. People this suit is worth it if you have to get your cat/dog fixed or the have a surgery that you need covered

I bought this for my 5 month old kitten after she was spayed. She was having a hard time eating and drinking with a cone. This suit is perfect. It allowed her to eat and drink with ease. It also allowed her to clean her face and paws while protecting the surgery incision. It took a bit for her to adjust to it. She walked a bit funny and she was always shaking her hind legs as if her paws were wet. I highly recommend this suit. It served our need perfectly and she had a great recovery from her surgery.

Our lil Siouxsie had her left front leg amputated so we bought this for her to help her heal. We put it on her and before we knew it she got out of it, we put it back on and she would not tolerate it it all, and she still got it off lol! My girlfriend is a vet tech so she’s taking the 2 we ordered to work and donating them when they will be in need! It’s still a great purchase!!!! It looks great fits great, it will help!!! These suiticals do very much help you furry one!!!

Our little kitten was spayed at just over 12 weeks, so the smallest size was slightly loose but still did the trick. I would buy this a thousand times. We tried two different collars and nothing worked until this. Thank you! Little one healed nicely.
