Kb Home Design Studio
First, it is important to realize that different floor plans can create different pricing, so you must consider your price range and your specific needs. Floor plans and features can change from one house to the next.
Here are some things to consider when calling a Kb Home Design Studio:
Table Of Content
How many months until your new home is finished? This is one of the most important things to ask a Kb Home Design Studio since this will dictate the base price you are quoted.

How to Save Money on Kb Home Design Studio PricingA Studio would usually require six months to a year to finish depending on the size and layout of the Studio. At KB Home, your Studio deal will usually include two appointments (one for your choice of floors, and one to make your final selections), but some locations might schedule even more.
What is the base price per month? This is important because it will allow you to call and talk with a Kb Home Design Studio without feeling pressured or talked down to.
Make sure you ask about all your options with every in home design studio you are considering, such as finishes, floor plans, views, and pricing. The price range of each option should be clearly defined before you sign anything.
What are the floor plans per house? This can determine how large of a house you can move into. For example, a Studio could have living spaces that are like three stories (vs. Four) or it could be one story.
Either way, the Kb Home Design Studio price you pay will be based on the number of floor plans in the house, not necessarily the size of the house.
Are there independent reviews for homes with Kb Home Design Studio options? Some people may have read positive reviews about a particular KB home builder, but don't realize that those reviews don't mean anything.
Anyone can write up a review. While those who wrote the reviews might be happy with the results, the reviews aren't an indication of how good the particular Studio would be.
Instead, you should only trust reviews written by people who have actually experienced the Kb Homes in question.
How is pricing with Kb Home Design Studio different than with other licensed home builders? Most Kb Home Design Studio homes are far less expensive than most other licensed home builders.
This is because the cost of employing an actual designer (versus an assistant) for making the Studio's interior designs is very low.
Kb Home Design Studios is essentially self-employed interior designers who are paid per square foot. As such, the cost of employing Kb Home Design Studios is significantly less than it would take to hire an interior designer independently.
Does the Kb Home Design Studio work by having the client schedule final appointment after final appointment with the designer?
Yes, the final appointment with the Kb Designer happens once the paperwork has been signed and all permits have been obtained.
The client schedules final appointment with the designer, selects which Kb house she wants to live in and then has the interior designer to make all of the interior design process decorating her new house. After the interior design process, the client is then ready to move-in.
Is it possible to find the same kind of custom-house prices for Kb Home Design Studio prices? Yes, it is possible. What it means is that if you want to find a Kb home building that is high-end but still relatively affordable, then you should use the internet.
The internet is where most people turn when they want to find out what house prices are for custom homes, because there are websites that actually specialize in house pricing (some of these sites also have websites that show you where on the property tax bill you might be saving money on living in your new Kb home).
Photos For a Home Design StudioIf you are thinking of redecorating your house, one of the best ways is with the help of photos for a home-design studios. These pictures of beautiful houses and other spaces from around the world can serve as references or model houses.
Since every individual has a unique vision of what his or her dream house would look like, looking at photos can help you come up with your own ideas.
Aside from providing visual inspiration, these kinds of pictures can also be used for decoration purposes in a home.
The good thing about using photos for a home-design studio is that they are relatively easy to find online. However, you should not just download any random photo for your own use.
You need to look for photos that have some common themes in their content so that you can make your photos interesting and appealing to look at.
Also, it would be better if you try to take photos that will best portray or convey the kind of personality that you want your koi pond to have. After all, the main purpose of having a home-design studio is to let others know about your personality and your preferences.
In terms of the price, there are actually lots of affordable yet good photos for your koi pond. There are even a few websites that offer photos for koi ponds and other koi fish that are sold in bulk for low prices.
You can actually save more money if you buy these photos when they are still in their pre-asia stages. This is because many pet shops already put up their photos online, so it is easier for customers to compare different varieties and styles of the items that they are selling.

I’m about to hit the 5 year anniversary of being a homeowner. That’s right, 5 glorious years! And I will admit publically, right here in this forum, that many of the rooms in our home are STILL not decorated.
I would love to hire a professional interior designer, and I’ve looked into it, but I haven’t pulled the trigger for a few reasons. For one, I haven’t received a good referral in our area. At the same time, I know the price could be steep and the process may be slow. Facebook must have somehow been aware of my inner turmoil, because over the last few months I’ve been seeing several ads for online interior design services in my newsfeed. I was intrigued – what is online interior design?
Online interior design (or interior decorating) is a new approach to the old model of interior design, wherein everything is done virtually. Since we use the internet and mobile devices for everything else in our lives, why not interior design, too? Especially with the advent of Pinterest, “regular” people (like most of us) have much more access to great decorating ideas and loads of inspiration. At the same time, we’re used to the convenience and power of using our devices, and the internet, to navigate our lives, anytime, anywhere. These new companies are offering online, virtual home decorating services that promise great results for much less time and money.
The question, of course, is whether a designer who has never set foot in your space could possibly do as good a job as a “real” designer who consults with you in person.
There’s only one way to find out.
I am now, officially, your very own online interior design guinea pig. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be updating 2 rooms in my home with the help of two separate online design companies (for comparisons’ sake). I’ll be chronicling the experience here on the blog, sharing what I think about how it is to work with each of them, show you their initial design options, and (of course!) before and after photos of the spaces.
First- whom to choose?
When I started doing my research, I uncovered more online interior design options than I would have imagined. Laurel and Wolf, whose services start at $ a room, were the ones who targeted me on Facebook, and their website looks great. They offer the chance to “Transform your space with online interior design” in 4 easy steps. Havenly, whose services start at $79 for a room refresh and go up from there, invites potential customers to “Design your dream room with our professional interior decorators. Order it all online, shipped directly to your door.” Decorist had great reviews, and after I registered, I received an email offering me a 40% discount from their standard $/room fee. Sold! I’ve decided to go with Laurel and Wolf and Decorist for my two rooms and see how they compare.
Once I started browsing the beautiful photos and examples on the design companies’ sites, I was filled with interior design lust. Based on these photos, I pretty much need to redecorate every room in my house. I forced myself to make a list of all the rooms I’d like to decorate, prioritizing those rooms most in need. It was a tough decision, but here’s what I narrowed it down to:
Priority 1: Master Bathroom
I’ve been wanting to design the bathroom from day 1, but a combination of fear, intimidation, and budget constraints have kept me from doing anything about it. Bathroom remodels can cost buckets of money and take loads of time. However, I realized in looking through the design services’ online portfolios that a simple bathroom refresh could be within my reach, bringing new life to my master bath without costing me an arm and a leg. (I hope!) I’m thinking I’ll go for it and make my current space better. Here’s what it looks like today:
It could be worse. But it could be better…
For the bathroom project, I decided to sign up with Laurel and Wolf. Their website strikes me as most professional, and I like the designers’ portfolios.
Priority 2: Bonus Room (Playroom/Guest Room/Rec Room)
I really love this quirky, wood-paneled room above the garage. It’s got a cool fireplace, slanted ceilings, and a beautiful view from 3 big floor-to-ceiling windows. However, I’ve rearranged it at least 4 times and feel like I can’t find a situation that really works.
It’s home to the kids’ toys, my work out gear, a guest bed (actually, a hand-me-down futon), and our old TV and couch. It even has the kitchen island from my apartment days acting as my gift-wrapping center. Pretty much every piece in the room is either a hand-me-down, was used elsewhere, or is from IKEA. Which is all fine and good, but nothing’s working all that well together.
For this project, I signed up with Decorist. They gave me the 40% discount, but their site doesn’t look quite as robust as Laurel and Wolf’s. We’ll see if the old “you get what you pay for” adage comes true in this situation. Here’s what the rec room looks like today:
I must say, it’s sort of like 3 rooms in one, considering there’s a play space, living space, and bedroom space. I’m wondering if Decorist will let me stick with one-room pricing… We will soon find out! I’ll be starting my registration today and will keep you posted on how things go.
On my next post, I’ll be sharing with you how the registration and project start up experience goes. By then, I should have at least 3 concept boards from Laurel and Wolf and Decorist for you to check out. Can’t wait to see what they come up with!

We are proud born and raised Arizonians so our readers relocating to the Grand Canyon state often ask which home builder we suggest. New Build Home Design Ideas
We explored the KB Home Design Studio centrally located in Phoenix and met with a talented team of designers to ask every question under the moon about what to expect during the home buying and building process. We were even able to shadow the sweetest couple purchasing a home in Buckeye and got to listen in on their meeting with Stefany, Studio Consultant. Here’s what YOU can expect when choosing KB Home as your home builder.
what YOU can expect when choosing KB Home as your new home builder

You meet with your friendly Studio Consultant to make all of your design choices. From shower heads to outlets, tile and flooring to lighting and garage doors, your home will be % YOU. This is what greets you as you walk into the Phoenix Design Studio… gorgeous lighting and bright, inviting chairs decked out in the bold KB Home signature color.
After welcoming the Grahams to the Design Studio and catching up, one of the first things we heard Stefany, Studio Consultant, tell her new homeowners was that she is not commission based, “I do not make money off of any upgrades; my job is to make sure you’re happy with your choices.” I immediately felt at ease knowing that their (Studio Consultant wasn’t trying to up-sell them to earn a personal profit but instead genuinely helping them get exactly what they want. I could tell the Grahams felt the same way as I did and were immediately at ease with Stefany.
free design studio wish list printable
Mrs. Graham had a wish list on her phone and was comparing it against Stefany’s check list to ensure they were on the same page. Stefany told her to get all of the items on her wish list first, then at the end they would revisit it and makes changes to cut items that didn’t work anymore or were out of budget. We observed lots of smiles and laughter exchanged from Stephany to the Grahams throughout the process that, although lengthy, is still fun!

The KB Design Studio is there to really personalize what YOU want in YOUR home. Everything available is neatly displayed and has a similar feel of shopping… I’ll take one of this, two of that, oooh I must have this! 😉 There are 3 grades for every design option so no matter your budget, you will have choices.
The base grades are still very on-trend, high end quality and any home buyer would be thrilled to know they can stay within budget and really have their dream home with high end finishes that don’t break the bank.
Your Studio Consultant will walk you through each area of the Design Studio so you can look and feel what you want in each space. For example, Shaw® and Anderson Tuftex™ have many pet and kid friendly carpet and flooring options just look for the cute paw on the corner of the carpet sample! And this tile is all SO gorgeous, such a large variety that’s sure to please any style!
My favorite feature of the Phoenix KB Home Design Studio is the full kitchen. You can literally pick up a kitchen faucet and walk it over to the working sink and see how it reaches, stretches, or would work in your space.
The same goes with faucets that transport and you can grab what you like and walk them into the bathroom display area to mix and match until you’re happy with your selections. KB Home is not just building a house, but a home. 🏡
Speaking of the Design Studio Kitchen, we are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with KB Home designers and narrow down a whole new space for future homeowners to browse and enjoy, (hello daily freshly baked cookies in the studio!). We were careful to choose all 3 levels of grades within the same kitchen so homeowners can really see that even though a specific tile is a lower cost option, it still shines in that room!
Here’s a breakdown of what we chose:
- Timberlake Cabinets in a newly released trend forward color, Rye, that is simply stunning and compliments many surrounding styles.
- Cosentino Silestone quartz countertops, hello gorgeous!
- The hottest trend right now is a matte black finish coming soon is the Kwikset pantry lever, the Moen motionsense faucet, and a variety of cabinet hardware styles to fit any familys budget and style.
- Wilsonart premium laminate, Armstrong laminate floor, Emser backsplash, Whirlpool smart appliances in the new trend forward, black stainless finish, and a gourmet kitchen.
- Features a pull out trash bin, under cabinet lighting, glass cabinet doors for displaying your favorites.
Sneak peek of the selections I have never wanted to build a new house more in my life, eek!
