Published on April 14th, 2021

A small weapon balance update has been rolled out on PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, arriving a couple of weeks after the deployment of update 11.1.

PUBG Mobile’s patch 1.5 is here with a lot of new features. This includes modes, weapons, vehicles, and more.

The update is currently live for Android and iOS users. You can download it through the respective application stores. The patch 1.5 update requires 686 MB on Android and 1.64 GB on iOS. Updating the game before July 15 at 7pm CT will reward players with 2,888 BP, 100 AG, and the Victorian Maiden Backpack (three days).

Here are the complete patch notes for PUBG Mobile’s latest update.

New Modes

Mission Ignition

It will be live from July 9 to Sept. 6. In this, the technology and energy company, DynaHex is making certain “long-term technological transformations” on Erangel. The company intends to use the map as an experimental base for their latest scientific research. Mission Ignition can be accessed through EvoGround. Players can earn Rating Points in this mode.

Complete Transformation

DynaHex has transformed six major areas of Erangel based on military defense, energy utilization, transportation and logistics, and cutting-edge scientific research.

  • Transit Center (previously Pochinki)
    • Pochinki is the core of Erangel’s transport network, and has now become the transit center for the island. A new high-tech station and supporting transportation system will be located here. Travel on the city bus and use it as a form of mobile cover for an all new transportation experience.
  • Port of Georgopol (previously Georgopol)
    • The advantages of Georgopol as a logistics port will be further leveraged with the introduction of a brand-new central command center and fully-automated warehouse, giving rise to an efficient and advanced logistics port.
  • Tech Center (previously the School)
    • This former school area now places greater emphasis on academic research and cutting-edge exploration. The latest scientific research results and cutting-edge technologies will be on display here. In terms of gameplay, there are many paths and structures here, and various unpredictable opportunities for confrontations.
  • Security Center (previously the Military Base)
    • The Military Base is responsible for monitoring the security of the entire island and providing armed support. Island-wide monitoring and rapid response facilities are deployed here.
  • Logistics Agency (previously Yasnaya Polyana)
    • The Logistics Agency is located in Yasnaya Polyana and is an important distribution center for supplies coming into Erangel. The supplies transported from the port will be classified, checked, and distributed from here to throughout Erangel.
  • Energy Center (previously Mylta Power)
    • This organization provides energy to all of Erangel and combines conventional energy generation with cutting-edge technology to produce a stable supply for the island’s civil and military buildings.

Mission Ignition’s Special Gameplay Systems

  • Dynamic Elements
    • Lifts, automatic doors, and other moving platforms will appear in the upgraded urban area.
  • HyperLines
    • To make travel more efficient on Erangel, the Logistics Agency has set up HyperLines on Erangel to connect the various cities of the island. Players can use these HyperLines to move between fixed locations at certain times and take advantage of these characteristics to employ more tactics.
  • Air Conveyor
    • The Command Center has set up this special transport tool outside some urban areas and bases to help security personnel travel through the air and conduct patrols in the sky.

Mission Ignition’s Unique Firearms and Attachments

  • New Firearm: ASM Abakan
    • The ASM Abakan fires 5.56mm rounds and has three firing modes: full-auto, two-shot burst, and single-shot. What makes this firearm special is that the first two shots are extremely accurate and can be fired in quick succession, which makes this firearm suitable for burst firing.
  • Ergonomic Grip
    • Grip attachments can greatly improve the handling of firearms, enhance vertical/horizontal recoil control, and accelerate recoil recovery.
  • Muzzle Brake
    • This muzzle attachment can effectively reduce bullet scattering and control recoil.
  • Drum Magazine
    • This magazine attachment can be equipped on all rifles and greatly increases magazine capacity at the cost of slightly longer reloading time.

Mission Ignition’s Unique New Vehicles

  • Anti-gravity Motorcycle
    • The amphibious Anti-gravity Motorcycle has seats for 2 and can be used to conveniently travel across the whole map.

Mission Ignition’s Unique Items

  • Tactical Marking Device
    • This technologically advances item spawns in matches. After it is equipped, it automatically marks the position of enemies that have been hit and also displays the status of teammates on the mini-map when they are engaging.
  • Riot Shield
    • Tap to deploy a Riot Shield with durability that can block all bullets.

Mission Ignition’s Unique Features

  • Spawn Island Holographic Display
    • A holographic display has been introduced on Spawn Island, showing the map and flight route of the current match, as well as the markers made by players.
  • Jump Marker
    • During the flight and jump phases, players can directly tap on the map to place markers. Markers will appear as columns of light, and the name of the destination will be displayed in the air above it.
  • Auto-Parachute
    • Players will be able to automatically parachute to the marked location after the feature is enabled.

Other New Contents of Mission Ignition

  • Added flight animations for missiles before they explode in air raids to make it easier to judge where they will explode.
  • Added an indicator feature to indicate the approximate location of grenades that are about to explode near players.

Tesla (July 9 to Sept. 6)

It will be live from July 9 to Sept. 6. DynaHex’s technological transformation of Erangel has caught the eye of Tesla which will now build a Gigafactory on the map to produce classic models of its cars, as well as provide more technologically advanced autonomous driving experiences and supply transportation solutions. In the new mode, Mission Ignition, players will be able to experience Tesla exclusive content.

Tesla Gigafactory

  • The Tesla Gigafactory will appear on the map. Activate all switches of the assembly lines in the factory to start the car assembly process and build a Tesla vehicle – Model Y.

Model Y and Self-driving

  • The self-driving cars produced at the Tesla Gigafactory have an autopilot mode that can be activated on the highways on the map to automatically take players to the location of pre-set markers along the highway.

Tesla Semi

  • These self-driving transportation vehicles developed by Tesla will spawn randomly along the road in the wild and will drive automatically on specific routes.
  • Obtain battle supplies by dealing damage to the Semi to make it drop Supply Crates.

New Firearms and Combat Improvements

New Firearm MG3

  • New MG3 Light Machine Gun: Using 7.62mm rounds, this weapon features a unique firing mode, and its rate of fire can be flexibly adjusted to 660 or 990 rounds per minute, allowing for both stable continuous shooting and rapid spraying.
  • When used with a bipod, its recoil is significantly reduced while firing prone. This firearm only spawns in Air Drops.

Adjustments to the M249

  • Now that the MG3 has been added to airdrops, the M249 will be removed from airdrops and will spawn on the ground throughout the map in Classic Mode instead.

Rate of Fire Compensation System

  • Added a unified system for firearms with different frame rates to solve the problem of inconsistent rates of fire when the frame rates are different.

Third Person Camera Perspective Settings

  • The TPP field of view can be adjusted in the settings.
  • This option will not apply to some devices with a screen that already has a large field of view.

PUBG guns & weapons [Update 6.2]: PUBG gun stats, best weapons in Season 6

The unendingly changeable roster of PUBG guns and weapons takes a staggering amount of time to truly master. Each individual gun brings to the table a unique set of stats, spray patterns, behaviours, and other quirks.

Our PUBG guns & weapons guide seeks to level out this learning curve just a little, by providing you with all the most up to date stats and opinions on each weapon. So whether you're new to the game and still struggling to tell an UMP from a Bizon, or you're a more experienced player who just wants to check up a few updated stats, we've got what you need.

PUBG guns & weapons [Update 6.2]

An understanding of the PUBG guns and how they all differ in terms of handling, damage, bullet velocity and so on is often the deciding factor in whether you survive the upcoming encounters. Below you'll find detailed stats and opinions on every single weapon in PUBG, so you can gain this understanding for yourself.

Note: since a damage value of 100 or above is a guaranteed knock/kill, I've rounded any value over 100 down to just 100, so that everything's a bit easier to read and absorb.

DBS Shotgun

Pioneering the release of Update 4.3 and its focus on increasing the effectiveness of Shotguns was the DBS - a powerful Care Package-exclusive shotgun that deals mega-damage per pellet with a longer effective range than any other weapon in its class. Its high magazine size and decent rate of fire is balanced out by an extended reload time that leaves you particularly vulnerable. This isn't a shotgun you should think about attempting to reload during a close-quarters fight - but it's a great option for finishing that fight quickly and cleanly using the gun's extremely high DPS.

S12K

Here's a shotgun that spends all its time wishing it could be a different kind of gun. The (relatively) large magazine and high firing rate supplied by the S12K's semi-auto nature make it a more forgiving shotgun than most, and also more suited to taking out groups when compared to the other shotguns; though its range is low even by shotgun standards.

S686

The double-barrelled S686 takes all the traits of the shotgun as a class of weapon, and exaggerates them. Though it can only fire two shells before it needs to be reloaded, you can unleash both shots in a miniscule amount of time, and if you land your shots at close range, your enemy is paste. But miss your shots with this shaky, inaccurate gun, or get caught at medium or long range, and your S686 might as well be a Snickers bar.

S1897

The eagle-eyed among you might have noticed that the damage stats of the pump action S1897 are identical to those of the S686. So which do you take? Well, the S1897 gives you 5 shots before reloading, which makes it a lot more forgiving than the blast-and-pray S686; but its downside is a hideous six-second reload time, a much lower fire rate, and the worst range of any gun in PUBG (adding Bullet Loops will bring this reload time down to just over 4 seconds, which is not much better, but might save you if your enemy lacks a killing instinct). These reasons put the S1897 at the bottom of my personal list of shotguns, with the understanding that the others aren't that much better.

Sawed-off

In my humble opinion, the Sawed-off is the only shotgun you should take to the end-game without feeling ashamed of yourself. The reason for this is not that it's particularly effective in the end-game, but that it occupies a pistol slot, rather than a primary weapon slot. Treat the Sawed-Off like a miniature S686 that does less damage but actually boasts a surprisingly decent effective range.

G36C

Native to Vikendi (see our PUBG Vikendi guide for further details), the G36C replaces the SCAR-L there, and possesses pretty much all the same stats, except for a nifty fire rate upgrade that puts it on the same level as our friend the M416. However, to counteract this, a whole second has been added to its reload time, so you'll basically need to end the fight before you need to reload. And that might be more difficult than you think, because the G36C is not as tameable as the SCAR-L or the M416, with a recoil that many players agree is difficult to get to grips with.

AKM

The AKM has always been a fearsome weapon at every stage of a match, boasting the joint-highest damage per hit of all the assault rifles. Discounting damage drop-off, 2 headshots or 5 body shots will kill someone clad in Level 3 armour. However, it's a tricky AR to master, due to its heavy recoil and bullet drop. Best advice is to spend time in PUBG's training mode getting used to the AKM before laying claim to it each match.

Aug A3

This air drop-exclusive assault rifle is a real beauty. The Aug packs a punch and handles very easily compared to a weapon such as the AKM. Its only drawback is that it takes a long time to reload compared to some of its contemporaries. All in all, a powerful and forgiving rifle which feels great to use - particularly when equipped with a suppressor.

Beryl M762

The Beryl is easily forgotten compared to more staple assault rifles, such as the AKM, M416, or SCAR-L. But the Beryl's DPS beats out all of them, thanks mainly to its excellent combination of base damage and rate of fire. The catch? A horrible amount of recoil, which means in reality you're more likely to die to any of the previously mentioned ARs than you are to the Beryl. If you're intent on using this beast, at least attach a foregrip and compensator to allow at least some of your bullets to hit at mid- to long-range.

Groza

Ahh, the Groza. If you just heard a terrifying droning sound in the distance and you're not sure what it was, it was probably a Groza. This air drop-exclusive shredder hits with the power of an AKM, but its rate of fire is top of the line, even beating out half the SMGs listed above. It takes some getting used to, and it's best not used as a long-range weapon, but if you're lucky enough to come across a Groza, there aren't many reasons I can think of not to take it.

M416

Arguably the quintessential assault rifle, The M416 has decent overall stats which can be boosted to excellence with a full array of attachments, though of course don’t expect that to happen in every game. When compared to the AKM, the M416 deals less damage but fires faster and handles better. But forget that. The real reason to love the M416 is that it has the lowest reload time of any assault rifle in PUBG. We all know that reloading during a firefight is tantamount to pressing the "kill me now" key on your keyboard, whether you're behind cover or not. So I find it's best to limit this as much as possible.

M16A4

In terms of stats the M16A4 is near-identical to the M416, with the main difference that the M16A4 is a burst- or single-shot-only weapon. But here's the thing: never use the burst mode. You can spam-click in single-shot mode and reach the same rate of fire as the burst mode, without having to wait for the cooldown after every third shot. So basically it's an M416 with fewer attachments slots, and you have to give yourself an RSI in order to use it properly. I'm not a fan, but there's no denying in skilled hands the M16A4 is a powerful close- to mid-range rifle. Update #27 has also been very kind to the M16A4, supplying it with decreased initial recoil, a longer effective range, and the ability to attach both Canted Sights and a Tactical Stock to the gun to further augment its already formidable capabilities.

MK47 Mutant

The Mutant is an interesting addition to PUBG's AR roster, matching the AKM in damage output but firing only in two-shot bursts. This immediately turns many players off the Mutant, but the two-shot burst makes it much easier to control than the M16A4, and ideal for tapping enemies at mid- to long-range. Attach a vertical foregrip and compensator to this thing and it'll shine like you never would have expected. This is a burst AR for people who, like me, don't like burst ARs. What's more, as with the M16A4, Update #27 added the ability to attach a Tactical Stock to the Mutant, increasing its recoil recovery speed along with all the other speedy benefits such a Stock brings.

QBZ95

The QBZ95 is exclusive to Sanhok, and replaces the SCAR-L there. I won't spend much time talking about this weapon, because it is almost perfectly identical to the SCAR-L, the only substantial differences being that the QBZ95 has a very slightly higher rate of fire and a significantly longer reload time.

SCAR-L

The poor man's M416 is still a pretty decent assault rifle. The SCAR-L is often maligned for being just slightly worse than the M416 in pretty much every single way (minus the base damage, which is identical), but this aside, it's a solid, controllable gun which can easily become a game-ender once upgraded with attachments such as a 4x scope, compensator, foregrip, and maybe an extended quickdraw mag. Don't worry, SCAR-L; we still love you.

MP5K

The MP5K is the newest addition to PUBG's weapons roster. Replacing the Vector on Vikendi, and coinciding with the changes to the Vector with Update #27, the MP5K trades some overall DPS for a higher damage-per-shot, an Assault Rifle-sized magazine, very low recoil, and the ability to augment it with up to six attachments at once. Even without attachments this SMG has pretty decent handling, but with a compensator and stock it becomes easy to shred enemies at medium or close range. This is a very solid pickup at any stage of the game thanks to its ease of use and high upgrade potential, and looks set to contend with the Bizon and UMP for most popular SMG in Vikendi.

Bizon

Added exclusively to Vikendi and Erangel maps in Update #25, the Bizon has several good selling points. Its very large magazine, full-auto mode and low recoil combine to make it a great mid- to close-range SMG, and it is naturally quieter than many other SMGs. It lacks the flat DPS of certain other SMGs due to its lower rate of fire, and it can only accept muzzle and sight attachments. But I never find myself missing the lower rail or magazine attachments because the gun already has such low recoil and such a great magazine. It's still a contender for best SMG in PUBG, but it will only shine if you use it in the right way; with agile movements and quick, powerful bursts over short distances.

Vector

The Vector finally received a buff to its magazine size with Update #27, increasing it a little from the measly 13/25 it used to have. Now firing 9mm rounds instead of 0.45, it has the second-lowest base damage of any SMG but the highest rate of fire and very low recoil, making it a tricky weapon with a high skill ceiling that can unleash some excellent DPS at short to mid-range in the right hands. Just make sure you're not caught off-guard when your magazine runs out about a second after you start firing.

Micro Uzi

The Uzi boasts the highest rate of fire of any weapon in PUBG, but due to its poor damage this isn't quite as exciting as it sounds. Regardless, the Uzi is a decent option in the early- and mid-game, particularly - well, exclusively - in close-quarters combat. Plus, you know, it actually holds enough ammo to kill someone with. Hear that, Vector?

UMP45

For too long has the UMP been the undisputed king of PUBG SMGs. Now rebranded as the UMP45 instead of the UMP9 thanks to its ammo type change, Update #27 nerfed the overall magazine capacity of the UMP from 30/40 to 25/35. A slight change, but one which will be felt during closer-ranged encounters. All its other selling points are still present, however: a gentle and eminently controllable recoil, a surprising accuracy and effective range, and a good number of potential attachments with which to upgrade the gun. It's still an excellent gun, but thanks to the rise of the Bizon and now the MP5K, it may have players re-evaluating their own personal SMG rankings.

Tommy Gun

Damage is the claim to fame of the Tommy Gun, with surprisingly good flat damage stats and a decent clip size that can be extended beyond any other SMG. However, the lack of a sight attachment severely limits its effective range, and its recoil is a bucking bronco compared to the UMP or MP5K, preventing the Tommy Gun from being an ideal choice heading into the mid- and late-game.

DP-28

If the AKM were an LMG, it would be the DP-28 (aren't abbreviations the best?). Slow to fire, but hits like a truck. Hard to control, but takes forever to reload. Oh wait, those were two negatives. Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of the DP-28. But you can certainly still shred with it at mid- to close-range. Bear in mind, however, that the DP-28 takes no attachments except a select few scopes. So what you see is what you get with the pizza-gun.

M249

Joining the Groza in the ranks of air drop-only shredders, the M249 earns its reputation in two ways: an insane rate of fire, and a bonkers clip size. Nobody's going to dare get into a DPS fight with you when you're holding the M249. However, if you click reload before you truly wanted to, you're dead, thanks to the gun's downright diabolical eight-second reload time. But with 100 shots, who needs reloads? Just make sure you have a good backup weapon to compliment the M249, and you're good to go.

VSS Vintorez

My friends and I used to call the VSS the "paintball gun" due to its dismayingly low damage stats for a DMR, and its very low bullet speed (exactly a third of the Mini-14's bullet speed). Its plus sides include an excellent built-in suppressor and a decent scope, as well as its ability to go full-auto for some fairly decent mid- to long-range DPS. But you should probably still abandon the VSS the moment you find pretty much any other DMR or sniper rifle.

Mini-14

Minimal bullet drop, a good clip size, and fairly simple to master. The Mini-14's low damage (hovering between the VSS and the SKS) means people generally prefer to use other DMRs given the choice, but it's still a solid, reliable choice at any stage of a match.

SKS

The SKS is the Mini-14's brusque, no-nonsense older sibling. Lower clip size and higher recoil, but a significant step up in damage and a lower reload time. The SKS used to be my go-to DMR, until they came out with...

SLR

The SLR is the SKS's belligerent uncle. Higher recoil and a longer reload time again, but the highest damage of any non-air drop DMR. If you can control it and use it well under pressure, the DLR can end a lot of fights before they begin.

MK14 EB

This air drop-only DMR is actually very similar to the SLR - so much so, in fact, that I do sometimes wonder why one is confined to airdrops and the other is not. I guess you could say the MK14 is the SKS's equally belligerent aunt. Massive damage for a DMR, high recoil, high reload time, and the unique ability to go full-auto when needed and deliver a cluster-truck of damage at close-range with all the eloquence of a rhinoceros on stilts.

QBU

The QBU replaces the Mini-14 on Sanhok, and can't be found on any other map. A lower clip size than the Mini-14, but a smidge more damage and a slightly lower reload time. The main benefit of the QBU, however, is its bipod mode, which all but eliminates recoil while you're prone.

AWM0.3005 (Ext: 7)100/100/95/71/50100/100/100/1000.544.6s

AWM

The only rifle that can one-shot kill through a Level 3 helmet, the AWM is an air drop-exclusive that excels at uber-range. All its other stats are built to counterbalance the AWM's monumental damage; high reload time, low fire rate, unique ammunition only found in air drops... But seriously, who's not gonna pick up an AWM when they get the chance, even after Update 28 nerfed its base damage some?

M24

The M24 used to be an air drop-only item until they made it world-spawnable back in May 2018, making it one of the strongest non-air drop weapons in the game. With the release of Season 4, the base damage of the Kar98K and the M24 swapped, so now the M24 is less powerful - albeit with a faster rate of fire and the ability to add an Extended Mag.

Kar98K

The Kar98k, while outclassed in every way by the AWM, should still command a great deal of respect and fear. A low rate of fire, high reload time, and small and un-upgradeable magazine size are all balanced out by extreme damage and the fact that everyone's had so much experience with the Kar98k by now, so you just know they're gonna land those headshots.

Winchester Model 1894

I'm almost positive the Winchester is a Crossbow in disguise, trying to earn a bit more respect. Lack of attachment options, the lowest damage of any sniper rifle, and the same reload time as a Kar98k. The Winchester is only useful early- to mid-game, and should be abandoned as soon as you find another sniper rifle or DMR.

Crossbow

Death by crossbow is responsible for a great many rage-quits, I’m sure, but that alone won’t save it from being a ludicrously impractical weapon used only when nothing else is available. Huge “bullet” drop and a disgusting amount of time between shots is not ameliorated enough by its decent damage and natural stealth.

Deagle

The Deagle is exactly as it should be: a real powerhouse of a pistol, and the closest a pistol has ever come to being as useful and viable as an Assault Rifle or SMG. Capable of one-shotting a player with no helmet and two-shotting a player with Level 2 vest and helmet (one shot in the head, one in the body), you can die before you know what's happening against this weapon. It's still not powerful enough for you to ever pick it over an UMP or an AKM, but it's a fearsome early-game choice.

Skorpion

Finally a rival of the P18C for best full-auto pistol, the Skorpion sadly does not come out on top. Its major selling point is a large clip size, and a large number of attachment slots to help control its recoil, but everything else - damage, fire rate, reload speed - is a little worse than the P18C, making it a slightly unsatisfying weapon to use in my experience.

P18C

Pistols are almost universally useless once you get past the early-game, but the P18C actually does a pretty decent job of masquerading as an SMG, with a full-auto mode that makes up for its low damage and actually boasts the highest DPS of any pistol.

P1911

The P1911 packs a hefty punch for a pistol, but with only seven shots you'll have to make sure they all count, particularly when up against an armoured assailant. Nevertheless, this is more than capable of seeing you through a few early-game encounters, and may even occasionally see you through some intense late-game close-quarters fights where you somehow both miss all your shots with your primary weapons.

P92

A very uninteresting but still decent pistol, the P92 features average damage, average reload speed, average everything, really. A good backup for when you run out of bullets for everything else, which is really what pistols are for.

R1895

The R1895 packs more of a punch than any other secondary slot weapon (minus the Sawed-Off, of course), but a slow fire rate and a slowwwwww reload speed make it hard to justify keeping over any of the other pistols.

R45

Miramar has it lucky, because the R45 replaces the R1895 there, and improves upon it in many ways. Same damage, but half the reload time, twice the fire rate, and easier to control in general.

Melee weapons - PUBG guns & weapon stats

Melee weapons aren't worth talking about at length, because they're all near-identical in function and damage. The one exception is the pan, which for some bizarre reason deals more damage than any other melee weapon; and what's more, while "holstered" it exhibits the unique ability to deflect all shots which collide with it, doing a masterful job of protecting your backside while you fight. So the pan is the clear winner, followed by every other melee weapon, and finally your fists taking up the rear. Yes, I heard it. No, I'm not changing it.

PUBG Attachments

Before we go, here's a quick rundown on which attachments you can equip to which weapon. Of course, as with the rest of this guide, this is all subject to change, and since there's a lot of them, I recommend searching for the attachment type of choice (Muzzle, Magazines, Stocks, etc.) using the search bar just above the table to view all the attachments of that type. Or you can hit the previous/next buttons just below the table to cycle through all the attachments on offer.

PUBG Mobile Weapons Tier List [August 2021 Update]

Making a PUBG Weapons Tier List or Best Weapons Guide is perhaps the most difficult thing these days because, unlike its humble beginnings, where there were just a few guns, the game has now expanded its library to a total of 39 weapons. Other than that, this gets further messy with the expanded fancy features and constant changes in the weapon stats. Today we are going to discuss the best guns in PUBG: Mobile. First, we will list all the guns according to their Tiers in their individual categories.

PUBG Tier ListPUBG Tier List Intro

Tier List Category Wise:

Assault Rifles:

The assault rifle is a high versatility weapon class that has good damage and a fast rate of fire. With selective-fire modes of single, burst, and full-auto, it makes assault rifles even more compatible and adaptable to all distances in a firefight.

There are 10 weapons in the Assault Rifle class, such as GROZA, M762, AKM, AUG A3, M416, SCAR-L, QBZ, G36C, M16A4, and Mk 47.

Another supply drop-only weapon, the AWM Sniper Rifle, is devastatingly accurate. What’s more, it has the power to penetrate through a Level 3 helmet with a headshot.

The Mk14 EBR is a DMR type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS and can only be found in airdrops. Originally built for US special operations units, this rifle has seen widespread use within the US military, owing to its full-power 7.62x51mm cartridge and proven reliability.

Crowbar:

The fact that a headshot is an instant kill may tempt you to the Crossbow, but literally, everything else about the weapon is terrible. Don’t do it. Seriously, don’t. Unless you want to friendly fire your teammates so they’ve got arrows sticking out of them because that can be really funny.

Sawed-off:

Sawed-Off’s introduction in the game was wild, but as it stands out. The hand-pistol is more useless than ever. I haven’t come across any player who would use this, and unlike P92 or Tommy Gun, which are handy in early games. The Sawed-Off is a bad choice because If you miss the first bullet, there will be a 3 second reload that often gets frustrating. It’s also worth noting that, unlike other shotguns, it has a huge spread, and the damage is significantly less for a Sawed-Off-inspired weapon.

Groza:

This Assault Rifle is only found in supply drops for a reason. Its high rate of fire and huge damage output puts it right at the top of our list. However, this is a rare weapon, so be careful when approaching the supply drop as there may be a couple of sniper rifles aimed at the vicinity and a strong enemy presence. It’s worth the risk for this powerful rifle.

MG3:

The MG3 is an exclusive AirDrop weapon. It features two firing modes, the default that will fire at 660 rounds per minute (great for long-range fights) or when toggled the weapon the fire at 990 rounds per minute (great for close-quarters combat). The MG3 comes standard with a bi-pod and with the toggled 990 round per minute setting; it's a great way to stop people crossing bridges.

AKM:

The AKM does great damage, but, as with many B Tier weapons, the recoil makes it tricky to be completely accurate. Use the burst fire mode and a barrel stabilizer to somewhat mitigate these issues, but as Assault Rifles go, it’s fairly basic.

M16A4:

The M16A4, unfortunately, suffers from the same problems as the AKM. Lots of recoil makes it difficult to land enough hits on opponents to make the damage worthwhile The M16 will always be outclassed by Sniper Rifles at the range, the Uzi close-up, and is the recoil does you no favors at mid-distance.

The Mini 14 is a Carbine/DMR type weapon in BATTLEGROUNDS.

A lightweight semi-automatic rifle, the Ruger Mini-14 is named so due to its resemblance as a smaller version of the M14 battle rifle. Popular with law enforcement, security personnel, hunters, ranchers and target shooters, it now sees use in picking off opponents at a distance in BATTLEGROUNDS.

This weapon was introduced in the September update of 2017.

Summary

A lightweight rifle classified as a designated marksman rifle in terms of attachments, compared to other weapons in its class, the Mini-14 deals less damage and only has attachments for muzzle, magazine and sight mods, making up for these shortcomings with a very high muzzle velocity - the highest of any weapon in the game - and low bullet drop, as well as a larger magazine capacity, making it suitable for situations where quick follow up shots are required at long range, as well as close quarters combat when the trigger just needs to be pulled as fast as possible, hoping that the enemy is the first to go down. It has a rather lengthy reload time so make sure the area is secure before inserting a fresh magazine.

The Mini-14 will deal maximum damage out to 90 meters. Damage will continually decrease beyond that point, reaching its minimum value past 420 meters.

A few weeks ago, I launched into my PUBG account, and it was astonishing when M249 appeared as a normal spawn. My excitement was later changed when I realized the gun was heavily nerfed.

My PUBG Stats following this Weapon Tier List Guide.

PUBG Best Weapons

Apart from complaining, it seems like PUBG has become stable, and it’s an excellent time to create a weapons tier list. I’ve played the game for 3300 hours, and in case you don’t know how PUBG was back then, let me remind you that the game would only feature the third person, and Tommy gun used to be a create gun. Besides, we were also stuck with the third person, and it was very heroic of someone to run the game stable. All these things changed dramatically when Bluehole implemented Update 1.0, which brought along many weapons, items, and most importantly – Sanhok.

pubg weapon tier list

PUBG Best Weapons and Tier List

Our PUBG Weapon Tier List will be categorized on two basis. Firstly, we will look at how powerful the weapon is; that is to say, how are the stats comparing the rivals. In addition, the authority factor over other guns will also be considered. To illustrate the results, we won’t put P911 above AK-47 because it could be handy; the meta is simple, no one would pick P911 over AK-47, so the dominance of weapons is going to facilitate the rankings. Lastly, tier lists are subjective, so don’t bother changing if you are comfortable with a certain weapon. Our guide will also enlighten some key ideas behind most weapons, that might be useful for new players.

S Tier Weapons

The Top Tier category would signify the most brutal and astounding weapons in the game.

AWM

As you would already know, AWM is, without a doubt, the most brutal and authorattive bold action rifle in PUBG. Its ability to one-shot Spetsnaz Helmet (commonly known as Level 3) makes it stand out among other snipers. The gun also has the best range in the game, which gets topped by the insane bullet velocity of 945 m/2. AWM’s only drawback is ammo, which is scarce and can only be retrieved through a crate. Other than that, this gun can do wonders, especially if you are using a suppressor and cheek pad to minimize the drawbacks.

PUBG Best Weapons

Pros

  • High Damage, Can One Shot Level 3 Helmet
  • Good Range and Shooting Accuracy
  • High Bullet Velocity

Cons

  • Too Loud
  • Finding ammo can be difficult
  • AWM doesn’t one-shot level one or level two vest, which makes it very similar to M24 and Kar98k
  • Availability is scarce

Mk14 EBR

PUBG Best Weapons

The MK14, also known as the Mark 14 Enhanced Battle Rifle, was originally released after the PC 1.0 Update. Mk14 became immensely popular for its long distanced ability at that given time, which were remarkable, thanks to higher damages and faster bullet speeds comparing SKS and SLR. Other than that, this gun also had the ability to switch between Semi-Auto and fully Auto which wasn’t really popular few years ago, but now that Streamers have started to facilite this gun’s Auto Ability with Red Dot in close distances. It has since then become the most powerful gun in PUBG.

To illustrate how powerful MK14 is, It can take down Level 2 Vest with three shots on the chest. Likewise, a level 3 helmet can also be taken down with just two shots. The gun features powerful 7.62mm bullets, which result in 61 base damage and 853 m/s bullet speed.

With such astounding stats, there are also many consequences that aren’t really drawbacks but not recommended for new players. These are mainly related to shorter mags and high recoil that are pretty impossible to manage.

Pros

  • High Damage And Faster Bullet Speed
  • No Bullet Scarcity, 7.62mm is widespread
  • Can Switch Between Auto and Semi-Auto
  • Apart from being an exceptional DMR, the gun can also act like a shotgun in close distances

Cons

  • It only features 10 bullets by default, but these can be compensated through the extended mag for DMR
  • Can only be found in Crate
  • Makes a lot of noise
  • Recoil is Hard to control, especially if you attach a suppressor
  • The Auto characteristics of Mk14 can be challenging for new players

Crossbow

PUBG Best Weapons

Yes, this might sound a bit weird, but Crossbow is easily one of the best guns in the game. It first emerged as a joke, but as PUBG has progressed over the last three years. Crossbow has gotten immense attention for its stealthy kills that aren’t too hard, but require a little practice. One of the main reasons why many players fail to corroborate Crossbow’s abilities is partly due to this gun’s lack of efficiency in Duo’s and Squad. This is rightfully so, and since Crossbow is aimed towards stealthy players, having teammates who are always giving up positions is challenging.

The gun does enumerate brilliance through insanely High Damage, which is capable of Knocking Out Level 3 Helmet. In addition to that, its default Iron Sight that comes with a rangefinder is extremely useful to assess the bullet drop. Lastly, the gun is entirely silent, which makes it hard to identify targets.

Pros

  • High Damage
  • Default Reflex Sight is useful
  • Extremely Silent
  • Very Handy in Solo and Foggy Weathers
  • Can One Shot Level 3 Helmet

Cons

  • Reloading Quiver can often take a decade
  • Finding Crossbow is can be relatively hard
  • The gun doesn’t have loads of ammo available throughout the map
  • Attaching 4X or any other sight can mess up the trajectory

A Tier

Mini-14

Suppose, you haven’t paid enough attention; the Mini-14 recently received a buff in Update 12, which increased its damage, modifier across all body parts, and slightly lowered the recovery rate. This has made the gun more powerful than it was, and as you would expect. Mini-14 remains the go-to across all PUBG Esports Tournament.

The Mini-14 principal capabilities lie in its bullet speed, which is the fastest in the game. Moreover, the gun also has decent damage, not as good as SLR, but decent enough to take down Level 2 Helmet with just two shots.

PUBG Best Weapons

Pros

  • Mini-14 has the highest bullet velocity in the game, which gets expanded by laser-like shots across all distances
  • Easy to find
  • Accessible Ammo
  • Good recovery Rate
  • Normal Reload Speeds
  • Extremely Sharp With 8X Scope

Cons

  • Stats aren’t too expandable; only two attachments
  • Base Damage(46) slightly lower comparing SKS (53) and SLR (56)
  • It cannot be spammed like an auto-rifle in close range

SLR

PUBG Best Weapons

The SLR, without a doubt, deserves to be in the S Tier. It compliments SKS existence with better stats like faster Bullet Velocity, Higher Damage, and all these are packed by default without requiring too many attachments. The gun does validate high recoil, which remains as a drawback for new players. Other than that, SLR has no weaknesses; it can be an impeccable DMR in long-distance fights and provocative to take down enemies more quickly. The gun could have been ranked higher, but the recent Season 9 Update #46 it’s base damage from 58 to 56. There was also a slight increase in ADS Recoil by 5%.

Pros

  • SLR Bullets aren’t scarce
  • Top Tier Gun despite high recoil
  • Not a create weapon
  • Four Attachment Points
  • Highest Damage for a non-crate DMR Gun in PUBG
  • Better Bullet Velocity comparing SKS

Cons

  • Default Reload Speed is slow
  • Without Extended, it can only hold 10 bullets
  • SLR Spawns are rare

M24

Dealing 75 damage in up to 120 meters distance, the M24 remains the best alternative to AWM. The bolt-action rifle, which was previously accessible through a crate can now be retrieved with normal spawns. It is definitely an A-tier gun, and if you are wondering why Kar98k and Mosin Nagang are ranked in A, below S. Well, Although M24 has a bit lower damage than Kar98k. It still is a better sniper because of higher bullet velocity, which matters more than Damage. This can be seen across numerous combat situations, where both Kar98k and M24 players shoot simultaneously, but M24 shooter gets a knock. Players then complain about lag and stuff, but the reality is that you will win those crucial battles with a faster bullet. Other than this, M24 has the same shots to kill ratio despite lower damage, so that doesn’t really Make Kar98k a better rifle. The M24 also edges its rival through three attachments that add further stability and bullets.

PUBG Best Weapons

Pros

  • High Bullet Velocity
  • Three Attachment Slots
  • Faster Reloads compared to Kar98k
  • Damage Per Distance is higher comparing all snipers except AWM

Cons

  • Gunshot sound is very high, can easily attract nearby enemies

Beryl M762

In its earlier days of release, Beryl M762 was considered as a recoil hogg with high damage. Over the years, this has changed, and PUBG Corp has rolled out numerous updates, trying their best to balance this deadly weapon. So far, they were only able to decrease its damage by a little and increased the bullet velocity, which is AKM’s biggest drawback. These days, Beryl M762 has higher Damage Per Second than AK47 and competes with some of the best high firerate weapons, including Groza. This says a lot about this gun, but to further validate, Beryl M762 also has three attachment slots that can further enhance its stats. A good player in PUBG would always prefer this, and I’ve seen numerous individuals using it with 4X on FaceIt.

pubg weapon tier list

Groza

Unlike its smaller brother, the AKM, which we have ranked in the B Tier for good reasons. Groza is significantly better with a higher fire rate, better recoil, and most importantly, It does not require any additional components. You can still attach a suppressor, but keep in mind the compensator isn’t supported; since then, It would be too overkill. These days, Groza is an immaculate weapon primarily utilized in close-range fights, helping players take advantage of its fire rate. Other than that, the gun isn’t trendy in the long-distance fights since the Bullet Velocity is below average for a rifle. The 4X Spray does work, but requires an immense control. Make notes that whenever you are picking Groza up, there is always an extended quickdraw to help tackle the slow reload speed.

pubg weapon tier list

MG3

One of the major additions to PUBG last year was MG3, the light machine gun with two firing modes. The first enables the gun to fire 660 round per minute, which basically buffs the MG3 in long range. The second increases the fire rate to 990 round per minute, this comes in handy against vehicles and close range fights. We did test the MG3 against other S Tier weapons and also surveyed across the community. The MG3 is very similar to the Beryl and MK-14, but it has better pieces of equipment.

pubg weapon tier list

The gun only has one problem: the huge recoil that can only be controlled while lying down. Other than that, there isn’t much about MG3. Just know that this weapon isn’t available in ranked matches yet, and In order to find one, you will have to take risks and approach air-drops.

B Tier

AUG

pubg weapon tier list

The AUG A3 first emerged as a decent Rifle, an an upgrade over Groza, M4A1, M16, and SCAR-L. This has changed over time with a few nerfs, and not to mention that its core stats were always meaningless and didn’t really bring the weapon above its competitors. One of the main reasons why AUG is ranked in Tier B and not in S or A is that this gun has the exact same stats like SCAR-L and M4A1, while being special because it is a create only gun. Furthermore, AUG also struggles with longer reload speeds and slower fire rate, making it better than a fully equipped M4A1 or SCAR-L. Alongside flaws, the gun could be useful in situations where you are forced to use Single Fire, and its laser-like no recoil trajectory could be handy.

To uphold and validate AUG’s existence in-game is difficult. The amount of risk it takes to reach for an Air-Drop and then knowing you will get a gun that has near-exact stats like a normal rifle. It doesn’t seem too viable to rank AUG above A Tier.

SCAR-L

Ever since PUBG was first released, the SCAR-L has remained a controversial rifle, with half players opting for M4A1 while others are going for the SCAR-L. This debate worsened with the introduction of G363 and QBZ, which seem like a near-exact replica of these guns with a few more add ons. The SCAR-L is quite different from its competitors like G363 and QBZ, because it isn’t available across all maps. Besides, it’s notable contributions are in Erangel, which is the sweet spot for ESports.

pubg weapon tier list

The SCAR-L has near-exact damage as the M4A1, but comes with fewer attachments. I consider this as an advantage, because you are getting more stats with less hard work. In addition, the gun has a bullet velocity of 870 m/s, which is rightfully above M4A1, but this gets bottlenecked by a slower fire rate. Other than that, SCAR-L doesn’t have loads of drawbacks. I prefer this over M4A1 because spraying on 4X seems very natural, and the weapon is significantly quieter.

Pros

  • Less noisy
  • Controlling Recoil with Vertical or Half Grip is easy on 4X
  • Good for fast single tapping
  • Fewer Attachments with more output

Cons

  • Bad Iron Sight, has to be the worst one in the game
  • Low Firerate

M16A4

Although the M16A4 has been heavily nerfed over the past few seasons. This still doesn’t make the gun standards go below A Tier. This can be seen through its gripping fast tapping, which is still the best in the game. Further, M16A4 still emerges as a decent rifle and can substantiate the role of a gun, which doesn’t require too many attachments. It also excels in bullet speed, and you can always count this gun to knock down enemies in distanced range.

pubg weapon tier list

Notwithstanding all the benefits, I think M16A4 is a misunderstood gun, and often people do not understand its purpose. The gun is compared to other rifles in S and A-Tier, which is wrong because this isn’t the type of weapon you would need to take down heavy groups. Instead, its role can be validated through the absence of other guns and attachments. It was very ambitious of PUBG to introduce Mini-14, when M16A4 was already being utilized in long distances.

Deagle

With such a godlike aurora, bullet velocity, and damage. The Deagle is, without a doubt Top Tier Weapon in CSGO. It comprises the pistol category, which is a huge benefit, because this expands on players having the option to equip two powerful primary and secondary. Further, the Deagle also has the highest Pistol Damage, and can take down Level 3 Helmet with just two shots. There is the factor of high recoil, but again, you can reduce that with attachments. This isn’t the type of pistol you would want to use consistently; it is quite different from all other weapons in PUBG.

DBS

In all honesty, the DBS is the most innovative weapon PUBG has added recently. The gun is purely aesthetic with such an incredible stat, that despite being a shotgun, it is being utilized across all combat scenarios. The DBS features double-barrel pump-action bullpup meta, which allows it to release a huge pump filled with deadly bullets. Moreover, unlike the other shotguns, the DBS has a better effective range, allowing it to be deadly in both close and medium spaces.

pubg weapon tier list

Keep in mind that DBS is only a crate weapon and similar to the S12k, it has an upper rail that can equip Red Dot, Holographic, and numerous scopes.

SKS

Over the past few years, SKS has emerged as one of the most influential and authoritative weapons in the game. The gun is capable of dealing high damage in long distances, while still maintaining a decent fire rate. Alongside that, SKS is advantageous in the long term, thanks to the five attachments that can further enhance its stats. One of the core reasons you wouldn’t see too much SKS action lately is the recent nerf. Bluehole decreased SKS’s damage and increased its default recoil that has made the gun completely irrelevant. In spite of all this, SKS can still be useful with a light grip, compensator, and cheek pad.

Mosin Nagant

I suppose there isn’t much to say here except that Bluehole was once again very ambitious to add Kar98k’s replica. The developer admitted this in a blog post saying that Mosin Nagant will have the exact same statistics as Kar98k except for the sound and the looks. Anyhow, this gun a decent layout, and its importance has simply constituted the poor loot system of PUBG. There wasn’t any need for this gun, but suppose you come across one. There aren’t lots of things to know except that it can Knockout a Level 2 Helmet with one shot, and the gun has the same bullet velocity(760 m/s) and Damage (79) as Kar98k.

Kar98K

As you would have anticipated earlier, the next gun in this PUBG weapons tier list is Kar98k. The old icon of PUBG is still capable of dealing high damage. It hasn’t received any changes so far, and unlike the old days, where Kar98k was a substitute for M24 and AWM. These days, it doesn’t have loads of importance because M24 has become a normal spawn. It still does its job, and considering there are just a few bolt-action snipers in the game, you shouldn’t miss on this.

Vector

PUBG Best Weapons

Yes, I’m perfectly aware this is the only SMG in A Tier, but as I talked about authority in the first paragraph. Certain guns are statically better over others, while some are authoritative and would change one’s decision. This is the case with Vector, which although has received a decent nerf over the past few seasons. The SMG still does well and it’s without a doubt the most powerful one in the game. Vector’s main characteristics are related to the extreme fire rate that can melt the enemy within a few seconds. Moreover, the gun also has a decent range of customization options that can further boost the stats and give you an edge over other SMGs.

With such great stats, there are also few drawbacks. One of these that I seem to complain about a lot is related to the 9mm ammo and the damage reduction. Under Update #27, Bluehole changed the Vector chamber and decreased its Damage from 34 to 31.  However, they tried to balance the gun with the recoil reduction, but it hasn’t really improved much.

DP-28

Initially, the idea for a normal LMG in PUBG didn’t work out. The performance didn’t convince players of DP-28, the first LMG to spawn normally. This was primarily due to the fact that DP-28 had huge recoil, and even the best players in the game struggled to control it. Verily, it was a problem in the past but now things have changed.

With the Introduction of M249 as a normal spawn weapon, players are seemingly getting used to DP-28’s high damage and excessive recoil. This also upholds the fact that DP-28 is slightly better than M249 in two departments. The first one is damage, DP-28 has 51 Damage as compared to M249’s 45. Moreover, the gun also has a better recoil, which comes naturally to good players, while M249 has horizontal recoil jerks that are unpredictable for everyone.

“With all that being said, DP-28 is without a doubt a decent A-tier weapon, which has good enough default stats, that can destroy enemies with what seems like a natural recoil.”

Skorpion

PUBG Best Weapons

For those who haven’t followed PUBG much of later, and decided to play it once again in 2021. Skorpion was one of the most recent added pistols, that has seen tremendous appreciation from the players. The reason why Skorpion is ranked in A Tier is that considering its statistics, the Skorpion is an SMG. It has all the SMG characteristics and besides, the PUBG Corp also addressed its biggest flaw: the lack of support for Extended and Quick Draw. These days Skorpion can be utilized as a third SMG in the Pistol Slot. This ultimately allows you to equip more powerful primary and secondary guns.

Tommy Gun

Some years ago, Tommy Gun would always make to the A and S Tiers in PUBG Weapons. However, this weapon has heavily been changed, and that was rightfully so. It first emerged as a crate-only weapon that had high damage and could easily blow up cars. This was substantiated and often frustrating because the lack of iron sight was very harsh. PUBG Corp addressed this by adding Tommy Gun as a normal weapon, and during the latest Season 6 Update #39, they also made it relevant by increasing fire rate and adding a red dot slot. Now the Tommy Gun is an extremely classy SMG with the highest damage and can also squeeze a list of attachments.

MP5Kf

Another newly added SMG is the Dazzling MP5K, which has similar characteristics as Vector but comes with higher damage. This SMG is brilliant in all ways; it has everything one would ask for. However, the only drawback is the slow fire rate, which I think can be enhanced through the dozens of attachment slots. MP5K also has a decent bullet velocity, which helps it being efficient in close to medium range. The only reason It would be ranked in S tier is because of the fact that it is an exclusive weapon to Vikendi. This ultimately means there isn’t much you can do about it in ranked matches.

B Tier

The B Tier will contain all the guns that are somewhat useless and don’t have a great deal of authority over others. These are also the type of guns that you would only pick in an emergency and not for the long-term. With that being said, there wouldn’t be loads of explanation on why these are ranked in B, because looking at the list, weapons like P18C and Scorpion aren’t very useful or A Tier.

Mk47-Mutant

PUBG Best Weapons

With Base Damage Higher than AKM, Beryl M762, M16A4, SCAR-L, and Groza. The Mk47-Mutant still struggles to find its place in the realm of weapons in PUBG. The gun provides adequate statistics for a medium-range assault rifle; however, other than that, it’s relatively useless. Despite edging M16 and other guns in Damage, It incorporates all the benefits through the slow bullet velocity, which seems to be the biggest problem for Mk-47 Mutant. The PUBG Development team tried their best to balance this weapon by adding Tactical Stock, yet it still fails to fit well.

VSS

VSS, also known as the VSS Vintorez, is a retro silent sniper in PUBG, that compliments all other weapons in the game through its unique features. The gun comes equipped with 9mm, commonly used for Pistol, and has no sound whatsoever. It’s very useful in solo games, but keep in mind that the Base Damage is just 41, and it has one of the slowest bullet velocities that result in a lesser range. Other than that, it’s hard to find and doesn’t have loads of attachments that can improve its statistics. All in all, VSS analyses aren’t much. It’s useless in Squad Games because the purpose that validate’s the silence is gone. Moreover, the Damage and Range are pretty dusted, and If you somehow manage to land shots. It’ll take a decade to knockout the enemy.

M249

One of the biggest complaints last year was the removal of M249 from crates. This gun was the true definition of brutality, and it had everything packed without needing any attachments. You could even attach 8X Scope, and despite being an LMG, the recoil was controllable. Notwithstanding, Bluehole had other plans and decided to heavily nerf the gun by removing it from create and making it a sem-spawn. They also changed the recoil pattern, which is now more sideways, completely unpredictable, and this gets worse with the significant damage reduction. All in all, M249 isn’t a decent weapon to use, the new attachment slots might prove beneficial for some, but this doesn’t necessarily change its position in this PUBG Weapons Tier List.

AKM

pubg weapon tier list

AKM in PUBG always strikes new players as an aggressive rifle that deals huge damage with the drawback of high recoil. This has been the core problem for all 7.62 weapons in PUBG, but unlike Beryl, the AKM does not have loads of attatchments, and you can only expand on Mag and Muzzle. Despite these small compensations, the AKM has always emerged as a popular weapon but during these past few seasons. Bluehole nerfed this gun and reduced its base damage along with increasing the recoil. These two elements are the essence of this gun, and lately, there isn’t much about AKM to brag about. The recoil problem is still there, you get average damage, and besides, the Slow Bullet Velocity still holds it back from ranged fights.

PUBG Best Weapons

Micro Uzi

There isn’t much to say about the Micro UZI in PUBG other than being a top-tier SMG. The weapon is only handy in situations where you don’t have anything, and come across anything that would be useful in knocking enemies within the first circle. Other than that, I’m not too sure If anybody would be interested in picking up Micro Uzi for a longer game. Keep in mind that when you come across a few sets of weapons, the Micro Uzi is good because of its fire rate, but make this gets worse with the lowest damage for an SMG.

S12K

Yes, the S12K was a troll in earlier days of PUBG, when many players misled it for Rifle due to its ability to equip higher scopes. But, the purpose of S12K hasn’t changed over the past few seasons. It represents brutality in close range, with the 24 Base Damage that gets better with the single-shot containing four shells. Moreover, the weapon is handy in close range because, unlike S1897 or S686, you can attach further attachments. S12 might be good for a shotgun, but don’t let that mislead you from the fact, it has one of the highest recoils and lesser spread comparing other shotguns.

Win94

PUBG Best Weapons

The Winchester Model 1894 or commonly called Win94 was perhaps the most unique addition to the library of PUBG Weapons. It had few problems in the start, which were mainly related to no iron sight, and the gun not being useful across most scenarios. PUBG Corp recently rolled an update that has added a default Iron Sight which seems to be working very effectively. The Win94 might be a decent Lever Action Repeating Rifle, despite having the lowest damage among sniper rifles. I still believe this gun is a decent alternative to most DMRS, considering it has a Base Damage of 66, higher than SKS, QBU, Mini14, VSS, and decent reload speeds that can be improved through bullet loops. Besides, the .45 ACP Rounds are the easiest to find. Anyhow, it will be in the B Tier of the PUBG Weapons List and this might change if this gun manages to one-shot knock level 2 helmets.

QBU

With an extremely poor Iron Sight and Unpredictable Recoil Pattern, the QBU will always emerge as a limited Rifle that can only be utilized in Sanhok. The core problem with QBU remains the same, it has a stressful recoil pattern and despite having an enormous advantage over fast bullet velocity (945 m/s), there isn’t a lot to it. Numerous players avoid this gun because they aren’t used to it, and as you would already know, having something like this in Erangel or Miramar would be bad for the game. Lastly, QBU also has the slowest Fire Rate, so If an enemy pops right in front of you in Sanhok, there are decent chances you are returning to the lobby.

G363

PUBG Best Weapons

With just a margin of stat difference between the G363, QBZ, M4A1, and SCAR-L. It has yet to be investigated why PUBG decided to release the G363. It doesn’t have loads of attributes that can distinguish it from others. Similarly, the gun is no impressive either, and its authority over M4A1 is debatable. Anyhow, grab the G363 If you come across one in Vikendi, and depending on personal preference, switch between other guns.

UMP45

During its initial days of release, the UMP45 was immensely popular as a secondary weapon. The SMG was known for its non-existent recoil and high damage that would be useful in late circles and mid-range flights. Unfortunately, this meta of having an SMG was lost as new rifles came to power and players started to give more importance to higher damaging weapons. This has started to change, and as per my experience. I’ve seen the rise in popularity of UMP45 as a secondary weapon once again.

Suppose you haven’t used much of UMP45 lately, it recently received a buff that increased base damage from 39 to 41, fire rate from 650 to 670, and muzzle velocity was also changed to 360, adding a 20% boost. This has revived the old SMG, and once again it sits at the top, next to Tommy Gun in terms of damage. Moreover, you can also attach four attachments that would further boost the stats.

P18C

Initially, the idea of P18C was very decent, and the pistol seemed too invincible in the early game. However, this changed with few nerfs over the past, but luckily while writing this guide, Bluehole listened to the community and decreased its recoil in Update #23. The Pistol is now, without a doubt, very decent; it corporates 23 Base Damage that gets topped by the extremely fast fire rate. In addition, P18C also validates the type of pistol, you might want to use in the late games. The Authority of P18C over other weapons is debatable; subsequently, It wouldn’t rank higher in our PUBG Weapons Tier List.

R45

The second pistol in the B tier would be R45, a replica of the R9895 but exclusive to Miramar. It comes in with the greatest damage for a pistol. Luckily, unlike its competitor, you can also attach a Red Dot, which is sometimes unnecessary considering the default Iron Sight is above average. Other than that, it’s a decent pistol that could be utilized in the early game, and like the rest of the revolvers. You will have to overcome the challenge of high recoil and low fire rate. I don’t usually recommend these, because these Revolvers act like a sniper without good sight. Therefore, If you fail to land the early shots, it’s going to end badly.

R9895

Just Below the R45, you get another Revolver, which is the R9895; the first of many weapons in PUBG. This one has relatively identical specifications like the R45, but instead of having a scope, you can only attach a suppressor. This is a significant problem for R9895, because although its damage is great, and it can melt anyone. The gun has a lot of aiming issues, and the default iron sight is tough to get used to. Besides, R9895 also has a fire rate problem so If your competitor decides to play aggressively. There won’t be too many resources to survive.

To sum up, R9895 is a decent pistol, slightly above the likes of P92, Sawed-Off, and P911. However, its authority is a bottleneck and would place it in the B Tier.

QBZ

With Identical stats like the SCAR-L, QBZ was released as an exclusive weapon for the Sanhok Map. The gun is deservingly very popular, thanks to its controllable recoil and high fire rate that paves the way for 4X Spray. It isn’t as good as M4A1 in the long run because the lack of attachments is a serious problem. However, this gets compensated by the decent out-of-the-box figures.

Subsequent to seeing the stats, you might be wondering about QBZ’s existence on this weapons tier list? As I explained before, this weapon doesn’t have a great deal of authority over Beryl, M4A1, and others. Moreover, it’s also an exclusive weapon, so the proportion of people returning to use it are very thin. Nevertheless, it’s still great but considering our meta, the QBZ’s position in this weapons tier list won’t change.

C Tier

In the C tier, we are going to list PUBG weapons that are often useless, and similarly, a lot of players aren’t even going to touch them. The stats on some of these might be great, but verily they don’t have good authority, and you aren’t a big fan of them.

P92

Despite having higher damage comparing the P18C and Skorpion, the P92 fire rate has always bottlenecked its statics. The pistol can often be useful in hot drops.

Sawed-Off

PUBG Best Weapons

Sawed-Off’s introduction in the game was wild, but as it stands out. The hand-pistol is more useless than ever. I haven’t come across any player who would use this, and unlike P92 or Tommy Gun, which are handy in early games. The Sawed-Off is a bad choice because If you miss the first bullet, there will be a 3 second reload that often gets frustrating. It’s also worth noting that, unlike other shotguns, it has a huge spread, and the damage is significantly less for a Sawed-Off-inspired weapon.

PP-19 Bizon

With just a glamour of damage difference between PP-19 Bizon and UMP45 or Vector. The PP-19 Bizon does come with an extended mag; however, this benefit is reduced with the painfully slow fire rate. Moreover, it also has only two attachment slots. I haven’t preferred PP-19 Bizon over any other SMG Lately, but from what it seems, many new players are welcoming this gun due to the large magazine.

S1897 And S686

The two most renowned pairs of shotguns in PUBG are S1897 and S686. Both are very similar in terms of damage, but S686 edges its rival through better firerate. These two shotguns only have two attachment slots; you can enter Bullet Loops, Duckbill or Choke. We really haven’t explored these two guns, because of their limited use. Moreover, we did analyze the performance, and concluded, that S686 is better. These two shotguns aren’t very common and would only be used in an early game scenario.

Summary of Best Weapons In PUBG

PUBG Best Weapons

As of 2021, these are all the weapons available in PUBG. Exputer’s PUBG Weapons Tier list guide was made after I played this game for more than 3000 hours. So far, a lot of weapons have been added, countless have gotten updates, and it’s reasonable to presume only some weapons have been consistent. In its initial days, the Likes of M4A1 and SCAR-L were heavily admired; they were considered the best. Similarly, other weapons like Tommy Gun and Beryl were hated, but over time players have gotten used to it. Keep in mind that Tier List guides are subjective, but we have put two important factors while making it.

The authority and stats had narrowed to facts and not just opinion. Besides, some people have a strange combination of weapons, and they aren’t impressed with whatever guns are added. This also goes for me, because In solos, I mostly prefer an M4A1 along with M24. Likewise, for Duo and Squads, I would go with M4A1 and SLR or Mini-14. We highly recommend playing FaceIt to get an idea of how most weapons are utilized.
