Botw captured memories

Botw captured memories DEFAULT

The Captured Memories quest can span the entirety of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There’s no timer, and it’s not a requirement to complete the game. But those who complete the quest will reap its rewards. Captured Memories deliver a significant amount of story — and they even answer some nagging questions. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find the locations of them all.

Since Captured Memories aren’t named, we’ll take them from left to right, starting at the top. The number on the image below corresponds to the section beneath it. For each photo, we include written directions and a gallery with multiple maps to help you get your bearings, no matter where you are. And for the most difficult one of all, we even made you a video.

1. Sacred Ground Ruins

Warp to the Central tower. You destination is through Central Hyrule, through Hyrule Field and finally to the Sacred Ground Ruins.

2. Lake Kolomo

Warp to Grand Plateau Tower and hop off the edge of the area, paragliding to Hyrule Field, toward Hyrule Castle. The location is on the banks of Lake Kolomo.

3. Ancient Columns

Warp to Tabantha tower in Hyrule. Head through Piper Ridge to the Ancient Columns. If you’ve unlocked the fast travel waypoint at Tena Ko’sah shrine, you can warp within yards of your destination.

4. Kara Kara Bazaar

Warp to the Wasteland Tower in the Gerudo Desert. Head along the road that leads to Gerudo Town. The Captured Memory is located on the edge of the pond in the middle of the bazaar.

5. Eldin Canyon

The Captured Memory is located in Eldin, between Eldin tower and Woodland tower. From Eldin Tower, head past Goronbi Lake. If you need to avoid the heat, just paraglide around the mountains. From Woodland tower, head into the mountains.

The Captured Memory is atop a peak shown in the gallery above. If you’re short on stamina, cook some food and elixirs that can restore it while you’re climbing.

6. Irch Plain

Warp to the Ridgeland tower. Cross the nearby road, and you’ll find this Captured Memory near a lake on the Irich Plain. You’ll be able to see this large tree even as you paraglide down from the tower. If you get disoriented, make sure that Hyrule Castle is on the horizon.

7. West Necluda

Warp to the Great Plateau tower and paraglide off (in the direction of the Dueling Peaks). Cross over Scout’s Hill, and be on the lookout for a tree with a rock at its base sitting on a hill.

8. Hyrule Castle

This is the most difficult Captured Memory to find, because it lives inside of the terribly dangerous Hyrule Castle. Approach the castle from the moat bank, using your paraglider to cross the water. The Hyrule Castle map is 3D, like the maps for the Divine Beasts, and you’re heading to the top of the tower as shown in the gallery above.

This is dangerous, no matter where you are in Breath of the Wild. Your best bet is sneaking in through a winding path. So we made a video to show you the way.

9. Spring of Power

Akkala tower is the closest, but it’s not really close to this Captured Memory. If you warp there, follow the road leading to the Akkala Highlands. Continue until you reach East Akkala Stable and Katosa Aug shrine. (Or, if you can just warp to the shrine, do that.)

Get a horse from East Akkala Stable and head into the grassy field. Check the maps in the gallery above to see your path. It’s not difficult or far.

10. Sanidin Park Ruins

Warp to the Central tower and head over Mount Daphnes and across the Regencia River. Head over the large hill in front of you, and you’ll find the horse statue at Sanidin Park Ruins on the far side.

11. Lanaryu Road - East Gate

This Captured Memory just isn’t by any tower, though near Lanaryu tower and Dueling Peaks tower. The Ta’loh Naeg shrine near Kakariko Village is a much better starting point.

Make your way up the hill and out of the village, as if you were heading to the Great Fairy Fountain. Go through that area and follow the path through the mountains to Lanaryu Road - East Gate, which is even conveniently named on your map. We’ve outlined the path in the gallery above.

12. Hyrule Field

Near Central tower and Dueling Peaks tower, you’ll find this captured memory on a path just off the bank of the Hylia River in the Bottomless Swamp area of Hyrule Field.

13. Blatchery Plain

After you find the 12 Captured Memories locations on your Shiekah slate, return to Impa in Kakariko village. She’ll tell you about a 13th and final Captured Memory and show you a picture on her wall that can guide you there. If it looks familiar, that’s because you probably visited the field of broken machines early in the game, as you first made your way to Hateno village.

Warp to Hateno tower. Your destination is over the Squabble river, in the field full of broken-down machines in front of Fort Hateno. See the map in the gallery above for the exact location, which is in the greater Blatchery Plain area.

You won’t find any great reward waiting for you, but be patient. Finding this 13th Captured Memory adds a scene to Breath of the Wild’s ending.

I think there was a gate at the bottom of Mount Lanayru, west of Naydra Snowfield.

That forest... I get the feeling I've seen it before.

I can't say for certain, but I believe this may depict the forest just south of here.

No... Wait... Maybe it's the forest on the other side of the river, northeast of the Bottomless Swamp?

Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Captured Memories locations and how to get every Recovered Memory

Captured Memory locations in Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Below is the full order of Captured Memories in the game, as listed in the 'Memories' section in the game's Adventure Log, which orders each flashback in chronological order.

Note that five are encountered through story events in the game, and the penultimate Memory is locked until you find all 12 Memories out in the wild.

1

If you were interested in how you might be able to find these without a guide, then Pikango - the artist that helps you find the first Fairy Mountain - can be found in a variety of Stables throughout Hyrule. Speak to him and he'll point you in the direction of the nearest Memory.

You can, of course, skip this step and head straight there if you know where to look, which is where the following list comes in handy.

Captured Memory 01 - Subdued Ceremony

1a

This is in the Sacred Ground Ruins in front of Hyrule Castle in the centre of the map. While not hard to find, it can be tricky to get to as the Central Tower region is filled with Guardians and other nasties.

We recommend gliding north east from the Central Tower and walking over, and being prepared to fight (here we explain the shield parrying technique to beat Guardians easily) or flee past enemies along the way.

Captured Memory 02 - Revali's Flap

You'll unlock this as part of completing Divine Beast Vah Medoh.

Captured Memory 03 - Resolve and Grief

3a

This is west of Lake Kolomo, which itself is just north of the Great Plateau, the game's starting area.

The easiest way to get there is to warp to the Oman Au Shrine on the Great Plateau, then glide over, where it's on the outskirts of the forest.

Captured Memory 04 - Daruk's Mettle

You'll unlock this as part of completing Divine Beast Vah Rudiana.

Memory 05 - Zelda's Resentment

5a

As the photo suggests, this is not far from the flying Divine Beast Vah Medoh. It's on some cliffs named the Ancient Columns that's south of Tabantha Tower.

We recommend gliding south from the Tower to Piper Ridge, then gliding south again and climbing the cliff up. Be sure to activate the Tena Ko'sah Shrine while you're there, too for a useful fast travel point if you wish to come back later.

Captured Memory 06 - Urbosa's Hand

You'll unlock this as part of completing Divine Beast Vah Naboris.

Captured Memory 07 - Blades of the Yiga

7a

This can be found at Kara Kara Bazaar, the settlement in the northern half of the Gerudo Desert in the south west corner of the map.

It's easiest collected when you visit Gerudo Town for the Vah Naboris Divine Beast, but if you want to get it early, then activate Wasteland Tower, and fly west. The Memory is just to the north east side of the oasis.

7c
7d

Captured Memory 08 - A Premonition

8a

This is on a rocky outcrop to the south west of Death Mountain in the north east corner of the map.

It's a little tricky to get to - we recommend heading to Woodland Stable that's on the lower right part of the Woodland region, there there's a road that goes into the foot of the mountains.

Take the valley up, and climb up the first cliff to your left to see a circle of stones. Now go north, climbing up more cliffs, and you should come across another circle of stones, which is where our Memory awaits.

8c
8d

Captured Memory 09 - Silent Princess

9a

This can be found north west of Hyrule Castle, across the moat and just south of Salari Hill and Irch Plain.

We recommend going to Ridgeland Tower to the west and gliding to the north east, where there are two bodies of water. In between those, on an upper ridge, are two trees. The Memory is just a few steps west.

Captured Memory 10 - Mipha's Touch

You'll unlock this as part of completing Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Captured Memory 11 - Shelter from the Storm

11a

This one is south west of the Dueling Peaks region and not far from the Great Plateau.

Head to the Bosh Kala shrine which is south of Proxim Bridge, and cross to the east side. Now head down, and not far from the border to the next region, it'll be visible on the cliff side next to an elevated piece of earth and a tree.

11b
11c
11d

Captured Memory 12 - Father and Daughter

12a

Set just outside Princess Zelda's Study in the grounds of Hyrule Castle, and so is the most dangerous and difficult Memory to find of all, but provided you have the Zora Armor from Zora's Domain, you're able to swim up waterfalls and make the journey both combat free and reasonably fast.

12d

Head to the north east side of the castle, and take the waterfalls to the very top, where there is a rocky outcrop to you right. Head right round the back of the castle, past the turret Guardian on the wall (sprint past and you'll avoid its laser before it has a chance to fire) and you'll come to a sheltered path way.

Climb onto the outside wall and up the cliff, using the ledges as a place to rest, until you come to the top and the back of the Sanctum area of the castle.

12c

Make your way around the body of the castle. On the west side, there is a tall turret that stands apart from the castle itself. This is Princess Zelda's Study, and from this vantage point, you can glide down onto the walkway in front of it, where the memory is located.

Captured Memory 13 - Slumbering Power

13a

This can be found in the Spring of Power in the Akkala region in the far north east of the map.

If you head to the East Akkala Stable that's on the way to the Ankkala Ancient Tech Lab, go directly west and you should find the spring sunk into the ground. The memory is on a plinth in front of the water.

13c
13d

Captured Memory 14 - To Mount Lanayru

14a

You'll find this in Sanidin Park Ruins in the south of the Ridgeland Tower region.

The easiest way to reach it is to head to Outskirt Stable - which is north west on the road from the Great Plateau, if you leave by Hopper Pond - and follow the road north, over Manhala Bridge, turn right, and you'll run into the Park as you continue on the road.

The memory itself is in front of the statue.

14c
14d

Captured Memory 15 - Return of Calamity Ganon

15a

You'll find this at Lanayru Road - East Gate, which is west of Mount Lanayru on the east side of the map.

We found warping to Jitan Sa'mi Shrine at the Shrine of Wisdom on Mount Lanayru (which, without spoiling, is one of the best Shrines in the game and worth doing if you haven't already) then gliding west to where the valley opens up.

Drop down at the first gate, and the Memory is just beyond. Be warned - drop too early and there will be a Lynel waiting!

15b
15c
15d

Captured Memory 16 - Despair

16a

The Memory is positioned between Hyrule Field and Lanayru Wetlands in the centre of the map.

The easiest way to get there is to warp to Wetland Stable's Kaya Wan Shrine to the north, cross the river and head left, where there is a forest underneath a cliff north of the Bottomless Swamp.

In the middle of this forest you'll find the Memory.

Captured memories botw

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wiki Guide

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a new type of collectible are Memories that Link can obtain in his journeys. After speaking to Purah in Hateno Village during the Locked Mementos Quest, you'll learn from Impa that Princess Zelda took several pictures in the Sheikah Slate, and each location is tied to your memories of her. Finding each location is necessary in order to complete the (completely optional) Captured Memories main quest.

In order to find and view Memories, you must search for the locations based on the visual clues in your Sheikah Slate Album.  Pikango the painter, found at various stables and towns throughout Hyrule, can offer additional clues.  He is found at the town or stable closest to the memory on the map.  He will only be available during the day time.

Upon arriving at the correct destination, you'll find a glowing spot that will trigger the memory, unlocking it for you.

Video Guide: Memory Locations

Below you can find out where all the Memories can be found, including those that are unlocked during the main quest.

All Memory Locations can be seen on the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Interactive Map:

See below for descriptions of specific Memory locations.

Memory #1: Subdued Ceremony

The photo in question shows a location in Central Hyrule not far from Hyrule Castle itself. In fact, the location is just South of the castle, located in the spot known as the Sacred Ground Ruins, where a small pool of water surrounds a dais now patrolled by a Guardian. So long as you are quick and quiet, you should be able to reach the site of the memory in the center to trigger the flashback.

Memory #3: Resolve and Grief

The second photo in the album shows a lakeside location in Central Hyrule that’s not far from the Great Plateau. From the Plateau Tower, float down North to the large lake, and head along the West bank to find a small raised ridge. The place is largely clear of enemies so you shouldn’t have trouble getting to the memory location.

Memory #5: Zelda’s Resentment

The third photo in the album depicts a shrine among ruins with the Divine Beast Vah Medoh circling in the distance. It’s located just across the Tabantha Great Bridge past the stable. After crossing the bridge, you need to climb the large ridge to the South and beware of the Moblins who make their home here until you reach the Tena Ko’sah Shrine, and you’ll find the memory right in front.

Memory #7: Blades of the Yiga

This fourth photo shows a desert oasis, and is located in plain sight on the road to Gerudo Town. Just stop by at the Kara Kara Bazaar, the oasis located before the town, and look around the water’s edge to find the memory.

Memory #8: A Premonition

The fifth photo depicts a shot of the area overlooking the Great Hyrule Forest, where the Woodland Tower stands in the present. It is located high in Eldin Canyon on the far Western edge of the mountains - just to the East of the Woodland Tower. You can find it by climbing to a peak West of the Goronbi Lake, and fight through Lizalfos to find a clear plateau with a ring of small stones overlooking the tower, and the memory is found just in front of the stones.

Memory #9: Silent Princess

The sixth photo in the album depicts a grassy field overlooking Hyrule Castle from the West side. The location is across the river from Hyrule Castle, to the Northeast of the Ridgeland Tower, just past the Royal Ancient Lab Ruins, where a large tree stands around pools of water. The memory can be found in front of the tree.

Memory #11: Shelter from the Storm

The seventh photo in the album shows a shot of the Bridge of Hylia with the Gerudo Highlands in the far distance, putting the photo on the East bank. You can find it near the Northern end of the lake along the East side, just across the river from Scout’s Hill. Look for a large tree with two small statues sheltered underneath up on a small hill, and the memory location is nearby.

Memory #12: Father and Daughter

This eighth picture in the album depicts the entrance to Princess Zelda’s Room in Hyrule Castle seen in better times, and as such is one of the harder memories to locate.

Your best chance is to infiltrate Hyrule Castle from the West side, and look for a tall spire North of the gatehouses up on a high level to the side of the main castle itself.

If you can bypass the Guardians below, you’ll only have one Flying Guardian patrolling the tower to worry about as you make a dash for the walkway between the spire and collapsed room on the other side.

Memory #13: Slumbering Power

The ninth picture in the album shows a watery spring with a statue flanked by two trees - located in the Spring of Power, one of three mystical springs in Hyrule.

This spring in particular is located between the Akkala Highlands and Deep Akkala, just to the South of North Akkala Valley. Look around for a large pool of water and you’ll find the memory in front of the water’s edge.

Memory #14: To Mount Lanayru

The tenth picture in the album depicts a large statue of a horse that stands out pretty well. It’s found on the road going through Hyrule Ridge, West across the river from the Central Tower. Look for the road to the East of Satori Mountain to find the park at the top of a large hill, where the memory is found near the statue.

Memory 15 - Return of Calamity Ganon

The eleventh picture in the album depicts a large gate on a road. This can be found up in the Lanayru pass that’s part of Lanayru Heights.

You can get here fairly straight forward by leaving Kakariko Village via the hills above, past the Great Fairy Fountain before finding a road on the right. This passage leads through the promenade that’s full of Bokoblins and ends with a Moblin guarding the East Gate, where you’ll find the memory by a large arch.

Memory #16: Despair

The twelfth and final picture in the initial album showcases a fairly generic looking forested road. This area is located on the Eastern banks of Central Hyrule, along the Hylia River. You can find this forested area North of the Bottomless Swamp, just down the hill and across the river from the Wetland Stable. Search around the small clearing in the forest to find the memory piece.

Memory #17: Zelda's Awakening

This memory is initially not listed in the Sheikah Slate's album, and requires you to find all of Zelda's other memories first. You can then see the picture of a large battlefield full of Guardians on Impa's wall. This is located not far from Kakariko Village, at the large wall called Fort Hateno that leads into Necluda. Look around the large battlefield and you will find the spot near the center by large pools of water.

After finding any one of the memories, return to Impa in Kakariko Village and she will reward you with the blue champion tunic.

Zelda Breath of the Wild - How to get every Captured Memory

BOTW: Captured Memory Locations | Digital Trends

Exploration and discovery are at the heart of what The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild aims to engender in the player. It isn’t enough that the world of Hyrule is so vast and visually inviting, but it is also packed full of things worth your time to actually go out and explore for. From new Shrines to rare weapons and Korok Seeds, there are enough collectibles scattered around the lush landscape to occupy dozens of hours of your time without even thinking about the main quest. Of all the collectibles, though, the most interesting and insightful for anyone who wants to really dive into the lore and history of this version of Hyrule are undoubtedly the Captured Memories.

Unlike the other collectibles in Breath of the Wild, these memories are not items you can easily track and pick up. If you want the full story of Link and Zelda, but are having trouble decoding where you need to go in order to trigger these memories, here is where you can find all the captured memories.

What Captured Memories are and how to find them

The captured memories are a special type of collectible in the world of Breath of the Wild. You learn about them from Impa, who will tell you that a series of 12 pictures in your Sheikah Slate’s Album were taken by Princess Zelda and that if you are able to locate the spots depicted in said pictures, you can recover some of Link’s memories that were lost during his century of sleep. This quest, appropriately titled the Captured Memories quest, will be unlocked during the Locked Mementos quest that leads you to Hateno Village.

While this is an optional quest, as nearly all are in Breath of the Wild, it is far and away the most valuable for anyone who wants to get the full narrative experience of this game. Aside from the 12 pictures, you can also find the painter Pikango in certain stables across the game world, who can give you more hints as to where some memories are. The memories appear in the world as rings of light you need to walk into for a cutscene to play. Finally, once you have collected all 12 Captured Memories for the quest, one final one will be unlocked for you to find. You’ll want to make sure to get all of these for the extra scene you unlock at the game’s conclusion.

This list is ordered based on the memory’s location in your Sheikah Slate’s Album, starting on the top left and then going from left to right, top to bottom.

1. Sacred Ground Ruins

BOTW Memories Sacred Ground

The first memory is of the Sacred Ground Ruins. You can find this location on the map just south of Hyrule Castle proper. The closest warp point is the Central Tower, and from there you just need to travel across the field to the ruins. Be aware that there is a Guardian that roams around this area, so either be prepared to take it out or sneak your way to the center of the ruins and into the light to trigger the memory before it spots you.

2. Lake Kolomo

BOTW Memories Lake Kolomo

Your next picture of a lake is going to be Lake Kolomo in Central Hyrule. Warp to the Great Plateau Tower and paraglide north toward the lake, aiming for the southwest bank. Find the little raised chunk of land and climb up for an easy memory.

3. Ancient Columns

BOTW Memories Ancient Columns

The image of these decaying pillars with the Devine Beast floating in the background, and a shrine if you haven’t found that one yet, is just on the west side of the Tabantha Great Bridge. If you’ve been to this shrine before but somehow missed the memory, you can warp basically right to it by going to the Tena Ko’sah Shrine, otherwise the Tabantha Tower is your best bet. The memory is in the grass to the right as you’re approaching the shrine’s entrance.

4. Kara Kara Bazaar

BOTW Memories Kara Kara

Next up you’ll be heading to the Gerudo Desert and into the Kara Kara Bazaar to find the desert oasis in the photo. This one is right off the main road and hard to miss on the edge of the small pool of water.

5. Eldin Canyon

BOTW Memories Eldin

This memory is one of the more difficult ones to pin down since it is tucked deep in the mountains of Eldin Canyon. It is roughly between the Eldin and Woodland Towers. Your best bet is to warp to the Woodland Tower and glide southeast, aiming for the small patch of grass at the base of the mountain and then climbing up. You’ll know you’re in the right place if you see a stone circle Korok puzzle and some Lizalfos on the plateau.

6. Irch Plain

BOTW Memories Irch Plain

This picture is a little vague as well, but thankfully we have the massive Hyrule Castle in the background to give us a sense of direction. This field is the Irch Plain on the west side of the castle and northeast of the Ridgeland Tower. Warp there and you will be able to see the big tree above, just on the other side of the small lake, as you’re paragliding in.

7. West Necluda

BOTW Memories West Necluda

Start off by warping to the Great Plateau Tower and glide down toward the Dueling Peaks. Make your way toward Scout’s Hill and turn into the little path of land between Deya Lake and Hylia River. The memory is up on top of a hill with a giant tree you can’t miss.

8. Hyrule Castle

BOTW Memories Hyrule Castle

This will be a difficult memory to reach until later in the game. You will have to make your way deep inside Hyrule Castle, all the way into Zelda’s room. The easiest point of entry will be from the west, but no matter where you approach from you’ll need to keep an eye out for the flying Guardian that circles the tower. You need to reach the very top room and run out onto the exposed bridge to snag this dangerous memory.

9. Spring of Power

BOTW Memories Spring of Power

Back to an easier memory, the next picture is of the Spring of Power. This location is right between the Akkala Highlands and Deep Akkala. The Akkala Tower will be your closest warp point, unless you have already been here and activated the Tutsuwa Nima Shrine. It isn’t a hard location to find but is quite a ways off the beaten path if you’ve never been there, so you will probably want to stop and get a horse from the East Akkala Stable to cut your travel time down.

10. Sanidin Park Ruins

BOTW Memories Sanidin Park

The Sanidin Park Ruins are right off the road that goes through Hyrule Ridge on the western side of the river. Warp to the Central Tower and head aest across the river toward the big hill with the statue of a horse on top. Make your way up and pick up this memory right in front of the statue.

11. Lanaryu Road – East Gate

BOTW Memories Lanaryu Road

The Lanaryu Road memory is another one that isn’t very convenient to go back to. If you head out from Kakariko Village, go through the hills with the Great Fairy Fountain and take the road on the east. You’ll go through a small gauntlet of Bokoblins but ultimately be taken right to the East Gate. The memory is right on the path after passing under a giant stone arch.

12. Hyrule Field

BOTW Memories Hyrule Field

Of all the images, this one is probably the least descriptive. The forest area shown is actually just Hyrule Field, not far off from Central Tower. The path you’re looking for is on the eastern side of Hylia River to the north of the Bottomless Swamp. The little clearing isn’t too hard to find once you’re in the right area.

13. Blatchery Plain

BOTW Memories Blatchery Plain

With all 12 of the captured memories recovered, you can return to Impa in Kakariko to learn about one final memory. This time the clue is the painting on the wall of a Guardian graveyard. You can snap a picture of the painting if you like, but odds are you know this location already. You almost certainly passed through this swampy field on your way to Hateno Village in the early hours of your quest. If you need a refresher, warp to Hateno Tower and look toward the Squabble River for the area littered with dead Guardians in front of Fort Hateno in Ash Swamp. Walk through the corpses to grab your final memory right in the middle of the swamp and unlock a nice little extra scene when you get around to defeating Gannon.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Captured Memories locations guide

Finding all the Zelda: Breath of the Wild Captured Memories is like piecing together the puzzle that is Link's amnesia. Finding all the captured memories will allow you to figure out exactly what happened before the game began, and are one of the most rewarding of the Breath of the Wild collectibles if you crave more story.

Handily, there are only 12 to find in Hyrule, and there's no benefit beyond filling in the story gaps. It's a big game though and with only a vague clue to guide you, it's not always easy to find the right landmark as you travel. With that in mind, here's a guide to find all 12 of the Breath of the Wild Captured Memories which will ultimately unlock a 13th bonus memory, and hopefully answer all your questions.

Memory #1 - Sacred Ground Ruins

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 1. Sacred Ground Ruins

The first memory in your album is easy to reach, but beware of the Guardians patrolling the area.

The location is directly to the south of Hyrule Castle.

Zooming in on the map will reveal a little puddle of water labeled Sacred Ground Ruins.

Take out the Guardians or sneak to the centre to see a glowing light. Step into it and hit recall to watch a cutscene, then consider hotfooting it out of there.

Memory #2 - Lake Kolomo

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 2. Lake Kolomo

This memory looks deceptive close to the Dueling Peaks, but is quite far out to the west.

Head south of Central Tower until you reach a lake.

There's a road that leads directly to the lake. Follow it and veer off to the left when it ends.

You'll spot the area from the photo here, along with the memory to the right of it.

Memory #3 - Ancient Columns

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 3. Ancient Columns

The next memory is in Hebra.

Head south from Tabantha Tower and follow the road to Tena Ko'sah Shrine.

The Ancient Columns surround the shrine.

The memory is on the path leading up to its entrance.

Memory #4 - Kara Kara Bazaar

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 4. Kara Kara Bazaar

The bazaar is in the south west part of the map, in Gerudo.

Being in Gerudo, you'll need Chilly food or potions to cool you down, or the Gerudo armour set.

Follow the road south west from Gerudo Canyon Stable. If you have a lot of healing items, you can essentially brute force your way there by topping up your HP gauge when it gets too low from heat damage.

You might arrive nude and dehydrated, but as soon as you recall the memory, you can fast travel out of there.

Memory #5 - Eldin Canyon

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 5. Eldin Canyon

Depending on you how plot your route here, you'll either need Flamebreaker armour to avoid bursting into flame, or a lot of stamina replenishing items for the climb up.

Eldin Canyon is on the upper right of the map, to the south west of Death Mountain.

The mountain we're after is directly to the west of Goronbi Lake.

More specifically, it has a Korok stone circle on top.

The memory is right next to it. If you brute force your way here, be wary of carrying any wooden items as they will catch fire, and possibly turn to cinders - even if they're not equipped.

Memory #6 - Irch Plain

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 6. Irch Plain

This memory is a nice and easy one to pick up.

Irch Plain is to the north west of Hyrule Castle.

There's a small lake here.

There are a few trees kicking about, but the one we want is marked on the map.

The memory is next to it.

Memory #7 - West Necluda

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 7. West Necluda

This memory location looks out towards the Bridge of Hylia in West Necluda.

It's midway down the river leading to Lake Hylia.

There's a big ol' tree opposite Scout's Hill, and that's where we're headed.

You can see the tree from Scout's Hill.

Paragliding over from there is a quick and easy way to reach it if you're struggling to find the location.

The memory is next to the tree, as you face the bridge.

Memory #8 - Hyrule Castle

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 8. Hyrule Castle

As daunting as the thought of going to Hyrule Castle before you're ready might be, this is actually super easy to get.

The memory is located on the west side of the castle.

It's in Princess Zelda's Study.

Look for the spire before making the journey across the moat.

The spire is patrolled by Guardians, as is the rest of the castle, but it's easy enough to avoid them and climb the tower. Just be sure you have enough stamina to do so.

Once you clamber through the window to the Princess' study, you can take a little breather as you time your dash outside. There's a flying Guardian out there, so wait until he scans the ground and leaves for another circuit around the spire.

When you're ready, run out and mash the recall button as if you're life depended on it.

Memory #9 - Spring of Power

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 9. Spring of Power

The Spring of Power is home to a shrine statue, so you can pray here for another heart or stamina vessel as well.

The spring is to the east of Death Mountain.

You'll find it to the north east of Ordorac Quarry, and south of North Akkala Valley.

It's a great big hole in the ground and you can't miss it.

The memory is directly opposite the statue.

Memory #10 - Sanidin Park Ruins

Breath of the Wild Captured Memories 10. Sanidin Park Ruins

Another super easy one that you can enjoy a leisurely canter to.

The ruins are to the south west of Hyrule Castle.

Just follow the road from Outskirt Stable across Manhala Bridge.

The ruins are on the left side of the road.

Park your pony and pop up the steps.

The memory is next to the horse statue.
