Description
The McKinney Half-Marathon and 5k is back for its amazing 9th year and ready to test your mettle on this amazing course. On the beautiful scenic trails in McKinney, the McKinney Half-Marathon is challenging enough for the hardcore runners while keeping the amazing course runners of all ability levels have come to love.
All finishers will get a sweet custom medal to mark the day with and go along with their super soft race shirt.

Instructions:
- Email racechiptiming@gmail.com with the name of the participant and distance desired (half-marathon or 5K)
- Receive a printable or emailable electronic gift certificate for the runner
- They simply present it to the registration table on race day
All SWAG for the race will be presented to them before or after the race for a surprise, or they can attend packet pickup if it's more convenient.

Packet Pick up
Packet Pickup will be at Frisco Running Company (9359 Legacy Drive, Frisco, TX 75033) on 10/6 - 10/7, 11 am to 6 pm. Packets are also available for pickup on race day starting at 7am : up to 30 minutes prior.

Santa Chase is 100 yard dash where the kids get to Chase Santa to the finish line where Candy Canes await all finishers!
The course officially closes at 11:00am for all participants.
NO ANIMALS (except service animals) In year’s past we have loved your pups, however this year legalities have made it that animals are no longer allowed on the course.
The minimum age to participate in the 10K is 9, for the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.
Per USATF safety rules and insurance, no pets are allowed on the 5K and 10K course. Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into the event.

Weather
Average temperature on race day: low 40 - high 60.
For safety reasons, Playtri Racing reserves the right to modify or cancel a race due to severe weather conditions. When severe weather is present, all precautions will be made to ensure the safety of the athletes.
Chip Timing
This is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. Timing chips are assigned to participants according to bib number. We will be using disposable chips for this event that you will receive attached to your bib at packet pick up.

RunOn is a fantastic company. All the employees that I have encountered at multiple locations are outstanding. They are friendly, knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care about helping their customers. The location in McKinney has two employees in particular that have helped me and my family multiple times. Big Josh and Kay. Big Josh (about 6'3" and 225 lbs) is an incredible athlete who has helped fit both my sons with running shoes for years. Kay has helped me and my wife find shoes for walking and general exercising. I highly recommend the store and all it's employees to anyone needing shoes or training equipment like watches, insoles and clothing.
