Hi Everyone,

Seasons Greetings! Here's some highlights on the latest Strickland news.

My recording studio is done! Yeah! We've been working on it for a year. It came out great- better than I had hoped. It really is a world class piano studio. Many thanks to SH Acoustics for their plans. Thanks to the many laborers and vendors who worked on this.

Daughter Elizabeth continues to excel in her 2 nd year Masters program studying classical piano performance and pedagogy. A highlight this spring was her joining me on a concert in Bandon OR on the coast. She is playing at such a high level. Father and daughter concerts are the best!

It was a joy to host pianist Louis Landon for a house concert this Sept. I joined Louis for a spirited concert with both of us playing solo and the two of us doing 4 hands, one piano.

Our website was upgraded to mobile-friendly status. Check it out on your phone! It really looks fantastic! Thanks to Sharon Colombo from Colombo Designs.

One of my songs was recently placed in the movie Just Getting Started due to release Dec. 8th. It's a funny movie with Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Rene Russo. Listen for 'O Christmas Tree'- my arrangement with jazz piano trio.

Now that the studio is done, next year will certainly bring new music projects. More on that soon. I really do count my blessings making a living in the arts and having a beautiful family. Such a lucky guy I am!

Here's wishing everyone a lovely Holiday Season and a prosperous, creative New Year.

All the best,  Mike and Kristi

On the Oregon coast

PS - Here's my version of "Little Drummer Boy" in the new studio.
