It'd also be great to pack as a meal option for your next camping trip meal.

Perhaps one of the best parts about these summer sandwiches—aside from the fact that they're easy to make—is they'll be devoured by little ones as well as grown-ups. Sandwich fillings
Silverside & spinach: Combine the spreadable cream cheese (g (1/2 cup) spreadable cream cheese) with the semi-dried tomatoes (60g (1/4 cup) semi-dried tomatoes, chopped). Spread over 2 slices of bread, top with lite silverside (Primo brand (g pkt lite silverside (Primo brand))), baby spinach leaves (baby spinach leaves) then slices of bread.
Honey ham: Mix cottage cheese (65g (1/4 cup) Bulla Cottage Cheese) with chopped fresh basil (2 tsp chopped fresh basil). Spread over 2 slices of bread, then top with roasted shaved honey ham (Makers Choice brand (g pkt roasted shaved honey ham (Makers Choice brand))). Spread 2 slices of bread with avocado (avocado) mashed with fresh lemon juice (fresh lemon juice) and place on top of the ham.
Vegetarian: Spread 2 slices of bread with babaghanoush (babaghanoush). Top with tabouli (tabouli), sliced Lebanese cucumber (sliced Lebanese cucumber), sliced avocado (sliced avocado), and buttered slices of bread.
Turkey & pesto: Spread 2 slices of bread with bought pesto (pesto (bought is fine)). Top with shaved turkey (shaved turkey), sliced Lebanese cucumber (sliced Lebanese cucumber), snow pea sprouts (snow pea sprouts) and buttered slices of bread.

Do you ever get fed up of sandwiches? Think they're boring? Well think again, because today I have over sandwich filling ideas to share with you. You read that right, I've got + different sandwich ideas right here in this post - sandwiches will never be dull again!
I have to admit that I've actually had this post in the pipeline for absolutely ages, but as it is British Sandwich Week next week, I thought it was the perfect time to finish it off and finally share it!

How to Make a Sandwich
If you like your sandwich with a lot of fillings and toppings, you might also run into the problem of it being soggy by lunch. Believe it or not, there is an order in which to layer ingredients so that your bread stays dry and the sandwich intact, heres how it goes:
- Bread
- Mayonnaise/mustard
- Lettuce
- Meat/toppings
- Tomato
- Cheese
- Bread
The lettuce and cheese act as “barriers” to any moisture from wet ingredients such as tomato, pickles, veggies, etc., and help keep your sandwich together.
If you want to grill the sandwich, good idea! But make sure you pack it right to keep the bread crispy. You can see how I do this in the video below:
Sandwich Bread Options

- Salad greens
- 1 ripe tomato, sliced
- ½ avocado, sliced
- ¼ cup sliced red onion, optional
- Ranch dressing, for drizzling
- 1 slice Provolone cheese
- Spread the mayonnaise on both slices of bread.
- Layer one slice with salad greens, tomato, avocado, red onion, if using, and a drizzle of Ranch. Top with the cheese and remaining slice of bread.
