FBI: International season 1 release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more
From the moment CBS first launched its FBI franchise, it was clear the network had high hopes for the Dick Wolf series and saw the potential to spin the series into yet another successful franchise. CBS has since wasted no time in expanding the universe with the launch of FBI: Most Wanted in 2020 and this fall the FBI franchise will expand again with the launch of FBI: International season 1.
As the title alludes, this new installment of the popular franchise will be going international in following a group of operatives from the International Fly Team as they jet off across the globe tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens.
Wondering what to expect from the latest addition to CBS’s ever-growing FBI franchise? Below, we share everything there is to know so far about the news FBI spinoff, FBI: International.
FBI: International season 1 premiere date
FBI: International season 1 will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 21 on CBS at 9/8c. The newest addition to the FBI franchise will be sandwiched between the network’s two existing series with FBI opening the night at 8/7c and FBI: Most Wanted closing the night at 10/9c.
The decision to air FBI: International between new episodes of FBI and FBI: Most Wanted is one that makes a lot of sense and should set the show up for success in having a strong lead-in in the form of the series that started it all. This is a strategy that has worked nicely for CBS in the past with FBI being used as the lead-in to launch FBI: Most Wanted and the network taking a similar approach when launching new additions to its NCIS franchise.
FBI: International season 1 cast
While the complete cast for FBI: International season 1 has not yet been released, CBS has revealed the identity of three of the show’s series regulars those actors being Luke Kleintank, Heida Reed and Vinessa Vidotto.
As first reported by Deadline, Kleintank will play the Head of the International FBI Fly Team unit with Reed playing his second-in-command and Vidotto playing the team’s “green but eager” new addition.
FBI: International season 1 synopsis
As the show’s title hints, FBI: International will follow the international brand of the FBI in centering around the Fly Team based out of Prague. Similar to the other FBI franchise shows, it’s expected that FBI: International will take a case-of-the-week type approach in following the team of agents as they work new cases each week.
In this particular instance, those cases will just so happen to take them across the world to various countries where they’ll have to rely on “intelligence, quick thinking and pure brawn” to protect the US and neutralize the latest threats against the nation and its citizens.

Series Description, Courtesy of CBS:
FBI is a fast-paced drama about the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This elite unit brings to bear all their talents, intellect and technical expertise on major cases in order to keep New York and the country safe.
Born into a multigenerational law enforcement family, Special Agent Maggie Bell commits deeply to the people she works with as well as those she protects. Her partner is Special Agent Omar Adom ‘OA’ Zidan, a West Point graduate via Bushwick who spent two years undercover for the DEA before being cherry-picked by the FBI. Overseeing them is Special Agent in Charge, Isobel Castille, who operates under intense pressure and has undeniable command authority.
The team also includes Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine, the nerve center of the office whose ability to easily relate to and engage with both superiors and subordinates makes him a master motivator. Newest to the team – and the FBI – is smart and outspoken Special Agent Tiffany Wallace, who spent six years with the NYPD and is now partner to Special Agent Stuart Scola, an Ivy League-educated Wall Streeter-turned-FBI agent. These first-class agents tenaciously investigate cases of tremendous magnitude, including terrorism, organized crime and counterintelligence.

Kellan Lutz Confirms He’s Exiting ‘FBI: Most Wanted’ After Season 3 Premiere
Actor Kellan Lutz, an original cast member of FBI: Most Wanted, has officially acknowleged he’s leaving the police procedural.
After last night’s Season 3 premiere – actually Part 2 of a three-part crossover with FBI and its new spinoff, FBI: International – Lutz took to Instagram with a lengthy post. He played Agent Crosby on the show, a drama focusing on the Fugitive Task Force of the bureau.
His character’s exit was a key part of the premiere. Agent Crosby was assisting Missy Peregrym’s Special Agent Maggie Bell in last night’s show. During the action, a veteran who had served alongside Crosby in the Army shot him, requiring immediate surgery. That left the agent a farewell with the door slightly ajar, as the show portrayed him returning home to his parents in Oklahoma to recuperate.
In real life, Lutz said that the heartbreak of losing his first-born daughter in 2020 and other factors led to his departure.
“What a night! And yes, you saw that correctly, Crosby won’t be chasing down any bad guys for a little while,” Lutz wrote. “2020 was a lot for everyone to say the least. For me it started with losing my first daughter, then nearly my wife, and both grandfathers among other things, all in the middle of a global pandemic on the opposite side of the country from my family, friends, and entire support system.”
He went on to say that “After a lot of prayer and reflection, I made the difficult decision to move my growing family back to CA so our daughter could grow up with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, just a short drive away.” The FBI: Most Wanted series films mostly in New York’s Westchester and Rockland counties.
Lutz thanked series creator Dick Wolf, the network, UniversalTV and his cast and crew.
“I will miss the show, my costars, production, and most importantly my character Kenny Crosby, who is named after one of the grandfathers I lost earlier this year, but I have so much peace knowing I made the right decision for my family.
“I hope Crosby is able to pop in and out here and there in the future but for now-
Crosby-over and out.
Much love to all you amazing fans!!!!

The Cast Of FBI: Who Are Their Significant Others In Real Life?
Sela Ward, who starred on FBI's first season as Special Agent in Charge Dana Mosier, married entrepreneur Howard Sherman in 1992, according to the Mississippi Clarion Ledger.
The duo met on a blind date the previous year, but Ward was initially skeptical of Sherman's congressional ambitions. "I was falling madly in love with her, and she said, 'Well, I'm the wrong woman for you,'" he told the newspaper. The actress fell for Sherman before long, though, and they're now the parents of son Austin and daughter Anabella. "He listened. He wanted to know me," she told Parade in 2011. "I felt cherished. I was used to anger and chaos with men, but Howard is very gentle — kind, funny, even-keeled. Even before we kissed, and he's a great kisser, he had me."
The couple stayed in Los Angeles for two and a half decades before they sold their Bel-Air home in 2016 and started living full-time on their 500-acre property, Honeysuckle Farms, in her hometown of Meridian, Mississippi, per the Clarion Ledger. Sherman finally ran for one of Mississippi's U.S. Senate seats in 2018, but he lost in the Democratic primary runoff, according to Ballotpedia.

FBI Season 4 premiere date, cast, trailer, synopsis, and more
FBI Season 4 is officially happening, but there are a few changes to the CBS fall 2021 schedule to be aware of. Here’s what we know about Season 4 so far.
CBS renewed the crime drama back in March 2021. Not only that, but CBS renewed the spin-off FBI: Most Wanted and ordered a second spin-off FBI: International. Dick Wolf’s productions are taking over TV across two networks.
The fall schedule is out, and this series certainly has pride of place. While it’s seeing a slight change, it’s actually potentially into a better timeslot and will act as a lead-in for the other two FBI shows.
Let’s take a look at what we do know about FBI Season 4 so far. We’ll bring updates as they happen.
FBI Season 4 premiere date
We start with the news of the timeslot change. CBS is moving NCIS out of the Tuesday 8/7c timeslot for the first time ever to give Mondays a better chance. FBI Season 4 is moving forward an hour to take over the timeslot.
This will allow the series to act as a lead-in for the new spin-off International, with Most Wanted keeping the last timeslot of the night.
We don’t have an exact premiere date just yet, but CBS is hoping to get the fall back to normal. We should probably expect the last week of September 2021.
FBI Season 4 cast
There probably won’t be too much of a chance to the cast. Of course, we’re still waiting for the season finale to air, so anything could happen. However, we’re expecting the following to return for the fourth season:
- Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell
- Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom “O. A.” Zidan
- Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine
- Alana de la Garza as Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Isobel Castille
- John Boyd as Stuart Scola
- Katherine Renee Turner as Tiffany Wallace
We may see some of the characters from the spin-offs show up if there are crossovers.
FBI Season 4 trailer
There isn’t a trailer just yet, which isn’t all that surprising. The fourth season hasn’t started filming yet and probably won’t until July 2021. The trailer won’t be released until closer to the premiere date, and we’ll be sure to share once it’s out.
FBI Season 4 synopsis
There isn’t a synopsis for the season, but this is a procedural drama. Each episode is another case for the team to solve, so we’re expecting more of the same. Of course, there will also be character development for the teammates at the same time.
FBI is available to stream on Paramount+.
