The simplest way to extend your warranty is by purchasing an HP Care Pack, which will run you $89 for a three-year warranty. However, the warranty must be purchased within 90 days of the original hardware purchase.

What to Do If You're Out of Warranty

You can actually buy a post-warranty HP Care Pack, which takes effect either after your standard warranty expires or from the day you purchased it. However, the pack must be purchased no more than 90 days after your initial warranty expires.

If you're beyond that, there are a few options. You call HP at to see if they'll repair the device, and if so, how much it'll cost for that specific part. You can also buy spare parts directly from HP and repair the system yourself.
