mission 45 insanely difficult?
sooo ive been trying to complete mission 45 and i fail like 15 times already. the thing is, its really not that hard. but the thing that makes it difficult are the tanks becouse they instakill you even if you are behind 2 walls. and one time it was like 'reinfocements are incoming' and not a second later i die becouse a tank spawned and instantly shot a pinpoint accurate shot from 300 meters. so is there any easy way to just kinda skip over this mission becouse its starting to piss me off. so far the bossfights in this game are the worst missions in my opinion

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain Wiki Guide

RECOMMENDED BUDDY

By default, Quiet is your buddy for the mission but if you're going for the S-Rank, bring D-Horse so that he can get you to the palace quicker.

S-RANK WALKTHROUGH

MGSV.PS4.1080.A QUIET EXIT SUB.HD SCREENCAPS.6.jpg

To score the S-Rank for this less-than-difficult mission, you'll need to complete it in under 15 minutes. Do the following:

  • Equip a level 3 Battle Dress and a level 3 CGM Rocket launcher
  • Shoot rockets in front of the palace (don't waste time hiding inside)
  • Take cover behind the large rocks at all times to avoid cheap missile fire
  • After all tanks and gunships are down, quickly make your way to the LZ
  • Skip all cutscenes
Warning: After this mission your buddy "Quiet" will leave Mother Base for good! Read the details after the walkthrough on how to get her back.

MISSION NOTE: This Mission begins directly after Side Op #150 and you won't be able to go to the Sortie Prep screen! Before partaking Side Op #150, equip a powerful Rocket launcher with you, preferably the CGM and a Battle Dress. Even though the mission will give Snake a default launcher, it's fairly weak and won't stand up to the army of rockets the enemy has at it's disposal, so be sure to have the CGM ready to go.

Make contact with Quiet

The first objective will be completed almost instantly. As you approach the Palace, a cutscene will play where you will meet up with Quiet, finishing this objective.

Eliminate the Soviet Mechanized Unit

The real challenge of the mission begins after the Quiet cutscene. Scores of armored vehicles will begin assaulting your position. The best place to be is in front of the palace. Do not waste any time hiding from the tanks and face them all head on with your CGM rockets. Use the large stones in front of the palace for cover and fire those rockets with the CGM Lock-on at every chance.

Don't worry about ammo, when you get low a drop is automatically called in at no expense to you. After the first seven vehicles are destroyed, you have a small break before the next wave begins. Continue the assault with the CGM launcher and destroying all the vehicles (let Quiet handle the regular soldiers). When the final vehicle is destroyed, a cutscene will occur.

MISSION NOTE: WHAT IF SHE DIES?

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.3.jpg

It takes 6-7 direct hits from the tanks to bring Quiet down. Focus all your attention on blowing up/Fultoning the tanks and less on hiding from them!

TAKE QUIET TO THE LZ

After the mechanized unit has been eliminated, you'll have to carry Quiet thru a sandstorm to the LZ. The only problem is the zero visibility! Stay near the mountain walls and slowly make your way to the LZ to the south (watch out for two soldiers when you get 150m near the LZ) to complete the mission.

Optional Objectives

OBJECTIVE: Obtain Quiet's cassette tape

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.7.jpg

Before entering the LZ to depart from the area, you'll notice some footsteps on the ground. Follow those footsteps to the top of the hill.

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.6.jpg

Approach the large tree on top of the hill to find Quiet's cassette tape.

OBJECTIVE: Extract seven tanks and seven armored vehicles

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.10.jpg

This is quite possibly the toughest objective in the entire game. Even with a level 3 Battle Dress, Stealth Camo, and weather modifications, extracting all 14 vehicles is still absolute suicide! Don't attempt this objective without the proper equipment.

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.8.jpg

In order to stay protected from the constant barrage of bullets and bombs, develop and equip a level 3 Parasite Suit, level 3 Parasite Armor (8 vials total), the Uragan-5 Air-S weapon for instant one-hit knockouts on soldiers, and the CGM Rocket launcher for that pesky gunship at the end.

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.9.jpg

With the Parasite Armor providing enough shielding, it'll give Snake more than enough cover to run up to each vehicle and Fulton them. Don't forget to reload on Armor each time!

OBJECTIVE: Complete the mission without Quiet taking damage

MGSV.PS4.1080P.MISSION 45 SUB 00.HD SCREENCAPS.2.jpg

You'll most likely score this objective easily as long as you don't idle around. Keep constantly blowing up/Fultoning the tanks and armored vehicles and they won't even get a chance to hurt Quiet.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Mission 45 A Quiet Exit

This guide will help you complete the story mission A Quiet Exit with an S Rank rating in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and includes a list of the mandatory and optional objectives available for this mission. Keep in mind that it is not necessary to complete all the objectives to earn an S Rank, but that you just need an accumulated score of 130,000 or more. Completing the mission quickly and earning additional score bonuses will greatly increase your chances of achieving an S Rank for the mission.

Objectives

  • Make contact with Quiet (Mandatory).
  • Eliminate the Soviet mechanized unit (Mandatory).
  • Obtain Quiet’s cassette tape (Optional).
  • Extract seven tanks and seven armored vehicles (Optional).
  • Complete the mission without Quiet taking damage (Optional).

Walkthrough

There are several unique steps required to unlock this mission. First, you must finish Mission 43 and have a maximum Bond rating with Quiet. This will make Side Op 150 Secure Quiet available at any time, and completing that side op will trigger this mission immediately afterward.

This mission has quite a bit going on in it, so you may want to complete all of the objectives in the mission on your first playthrough to get the full experience. However, since our goal is to help you earn an S Rank for this mission, we will be skipping a few things and also suggest that you skip the cutscenes to save time. A speedy completion will award you higher points for the time bonus to help secure the S Rank. If you have already completed the mission and are ready to tackle the S Rank on a separate playthrough, then prepare to follow along.

Ideally you will want to have the Cluster Guided Missile (CGM) 25 rocket launcher, but since this mission begins right after the Side Op, you may have to just go with whatever rocket launcher you have on you.

Start this mission by hopping on D-Horse and heading south from the landing zone. Follow the road leading to Lamar Khaate Palace indicated by the objective waypoint in the distance. As you approach the front of the Palace, a cutscene will occur. Skip the cutscene, and prepare to take out several tanks in the distance with your rocket launcher.

Use your CGM 25 to take out the incoming mechanized units, and call for supply drops to your location when you run out of ammo. Call new supply drops as soon as you pick up the previous resupply, so that you have a steady flow of ammo to deal with the tanks. The guided missiles from the CGM 25 make eliminating the tanks a bit easier, but this is still possible with a different launcher. Be sure to try and stay covered behind nearby rocks and barricades as much as possible. It may also help to generally stay at the front of the Palace to get a good vantage point on the incoming tanks.

If you have them equipped, you can also plant C4 and ATB Mines along the road to take out tanks as they drive over them. Move quickly to plant the charges when you have a brief moment of downtime in between approaching tanks. Also, keep an eye out for an enemy gunship that will fly overhead, and take it down with your guided missiles.

Continue to take out each tank. if you move quickly, run up to each fallen tank and use the Fulton Recovery Device to extract them. After taking out the final tank, a cutscene will occur. Skip the cutscene, and proceed to carry Quiet to the landing zone.

As you reach the LZ, a final series of cutscenes will play, which you should skip to save time. Afterwards, the mission concludes. If you moved quickly and efficiently, you will have earned a high enough time bonus score to achieve an S Rank rating.

I never really left the spot they start you in, although I eventually retreated behind those cells as they seem to stop tank shells pretty effectively. Just keep calling in supply drops and hiding behind those while you reload.

I hated this mission so much. It felt like punishment for not researching the strongest rocket launchers and battle dress. I only had the basic battle dress and a shitty GROM rocket launcher researched because I almost never go lethal in the game, so this mission was infuriating. Some people report being able to Fulton the tanks but at any point I tried this I was instakilled by other tank/sniper fire. I wound up hiding behind the building and calling in bombardments on every vehicle.

S ranking this was awful. I could get to a certain point in the fight and the tank that spawns on the right and goes up the hill would kill me in one shot like 95% of the time. I basically had to make sure the entire hill was clear, and then run up and hide on that hill, hope nothing else spotted me, and crawl as close to the tank as I could before lighting it up with my CGM 25, than diving back behind the hill. Luckily, the fully upgraded CGM 25 is the most OP launcher in the game and can one-shot that tank like nobodies business.

The worst part was that I could one-shot EVERY VEHICLE that spawned, no problem, so I'd have these long dreadful lulls in the action each time I died where I just sat there waiting for crap to spawn and hoping I wouldn't get one-shot. Quiet NEVER actually drew fire like the game claimed she was. Finished the fight with full health.

Quiet is so amazing in the rest of the game and then almost useless for this fight. And of course the fact that I activated the mission reduces the replayability of other missions is just wonderful. I mean the concept of the mission is awesome but the execution is just terrible. I guess on the bright side Russian actual strategies are well represented.

"Boss, go rescue Quiet. Oh by the way there's an entire fucking mechanized division like 500 feet away and Quiet is Raiden from Revengeance; toodles!"

Oh and smoke doesn't work for no reason, at least not reliably.

It shouldn't be that much of a surprise though, the boss fights in this game aren't very good for the most part.

I don't really give a fuck that Quiet had to talk eventually, obviously that was going to happen, but you don't need to reduce the enjoyability of my gameplay experience after the fact. I mean sure I could use the Butterfly emblem forever but how the hell would I know that through the game?

@quid_pro_bono: You can Fulton, usually only works for the early waves though.

@ichthy: Nope, can't back out and can't change your loadout armor/characterwise.

I must have repeated this mission over ten times. The chicken hat prompt was very much not appreciated. Half of the re-tries were me getting one-hit killed near the end until I smartened up and supply dropped the combat suit (of course I had to re-do this every time).

At a certain point I just got fed up and hid behind the building like a coward, only poking my head out to tag tanks so I could call in bombardments for the first and only time in the game. I just wanted it to be over with.

Here's a tip for anyone who keeps getting killed: fuck the Battle Gear, go with the Parasite Suit with the Armor power up. You should have access to it by this point in the game, and it's the only thing that can take a tank shell to the face and keep you going.

On top of that, contrary to what the game says, only the Camouflage powerup reduces your rank to an A; you can happily dope on armor parasites to your hearts content and still get a S rank. Do the airport mission with D-Walker to farm the Skulls (you get more than enough after just one fight, and his minigun makes quick work of them), and you'll be good to go.

@quid_pro_bono: It's very, very cathartic. You see that tank crest the ridge, he lines you up, you see the shell streaking towards you, it slams you in the face, knocking you off of your feet, you get back up and blow the fucker apart with a multi-missle barrage. At a certain point I just ran at them, tanking their fire before strapping a balloon to their asses.

As someone who spent about 2/3 hours beating it today for my Srank I have to say this those two tanks had better lock on skills than any sniper including Quiet on extreme.

For those having troubles some tips for srank.

Take your best rocket launcher and always kill off the tanks. You can "destroy" them to the point the are immobilized and eventually explode but because we want the time bonus for srank you need to finish them so the next wave starts.

Run behind the building behind the bunkers onto the hill. Make sure you're in a good spot to shoot rockets. Most of the first wave and easy tanks are no problems so don't need to move or get fancy but when he shows up you're gonna move from one side of the building to the other shooting one rocket at a time. This will guarantee you never hit by the canon. You can get a second off at times but you know the risk if he also gets his shot off.

On the left side of the building there's a water tower that you can use to shoot rockets though the beams in a certain angle where the tank can't hit you because of the building and water tanks blocking his shots. On the right side there's a door frame where at a certain angle you can shoot a rocket through the frame that comes out through the front of the building and hits the tank.

Also never use the building as cover not only are there enough holes to get hit by but because of the splash damage on the tank you can get killed by a hit on an adjacent room from way too far.

After my first clear in which I got an A rank and came up with that strategy it only took two more tries for srank and only reason I died on first try is because I went for a second rocket on ultra sniper tank with homing slugs and got killed by splash.

This, along with the earlier Skulls ambush mission (the one where they jump out of the truck) was probably my least favorite missions.

I guess someone thought tanks that 1-shot you from nowhere even while you're wearing the highest level battle armor is fun?

The sequence suffers from poor checkpointing as well. I kept dying to the very last wave over and over again, and had to redo it from when the chopper comes. Which was fun because even 90+ hours in I still haven't found a missile guidance specialist, so I don't have homing missiles to deal with choppers.

I tried to play "peek-a-boo" with the tanks by shooting 1 shot from one side of the house, and then 1 from the other, and calling in supply drops in-between, but they still got me. It got less frustrating once I just tagged the vehicles and hid behind the house, and called in air strikes.

Also the "reward" you got for beating the mission? Quiet is gone for the rest of my save game. Eff. That.

Contrary to @junkboy0, I got an A on my first try by using the building - ground floor, just behind where you start there's a lot of rubble leading to a small hole in the wall. That leads to a small room with a gap in the roof just big enough to call a supply drop into.

Though, I will note that I always run with maxed Battle Armor (I love how tanky it looks, it's so different to any of the normal stuff Snake wears).

I was using a maxed version of the first rocket launcher you get. The only real trick I can think of is to go left, behind(but away from) the wall while reloading your rockets - the tanks just hit the other side of the wall and do nothing - and to call in supply drops before you run out of rockets so you're not sitting there waiting.

All in all, I love this mission, if only because it ends with one of the best sequences in the whole game.

Again, fuck the Battle Dress for this fight: tanks still pop you like a blister. Parasite Armor is the cure-all; it allows you to screw up while waiting for those agonizing supply drops. Also, the missile guidance guy is a prisoner in Mission 19; he's in the camp south of the meeting point.

I also haven't had a single opportunity to get parasites since I got the suit, so your tip about D-Walker and the airport mission (I assume it's the early one with Code Talker?) and get some of those as well. I... haven't really used the parasite suit OR D-Walker so far so that'll be interesting.

Glad i'm not the only one who struggled with that. I've been doing a non-lethal playthrough so I've barely leveled up beyond the basic rocket launchers and stuff. It sure was fun starting it with a tranq setup each time and no way to back out. Armor hadn't been a problem for me until then either. It's good to hear the 360 no-scope headshot tanks were not just my imagination, too. I didn't realise the chicken hat was in the game until then either.

I loved how Quiets story ended but it was super shitty how they actually removed her from the game. My plan was to finish it and then S-rank old stuff. I think their was maybe supposed to be more mission after it so you have to carry on without her and feel it. That isn't how you do open world games Hideo! Not that it matters, I just PC her the fuck back in. Would be raging if I was on console.

@xymox: Yeah, the one with code talker. Take D-Walker and hook up his minigun; as long as you avoid the rust clouds that the Skulls create (keep moving after they jump), you can chew through their armor in just a few seconds. Just make sure to capture the downed skulls before killing the last one; they stay on the field until they are all toast, then they hop away.

You may want to research the gun upgrades for extra ammo, but if you don't feel like it, you can always go into your menu to request your buddy change equipment; that'll get you a reloaded gun and an undamaged D-Walker, which you shouldn't have to do more than once unless your aim is quite poor.

I can totally get why you wouldn't ever touch this mission again, but it's real cathartic to fuck those tanks up as a crazy, multi-homing rocket shooting metal man.

I was in the same situation as you, I also learned there is a second chicken hat.

Specifically the last fucking tank would snipe me every time. Even if I hid for awhile in the building. The check point was about 10 mins back every time so I had to kill about 6 vehicles every time. Forced to play over and over until my research finished.

The worst part of this, is that after dying repeatedly I dropped in the swarm launcher (I forget what it's called CGM maybe?), and realised that even though it has an 8x scope on it, the lock-on range is limited to 200m or less, so I had to run down onto the sand across the road in the open to hit anything. Even the helicopter that shows up hangs out at around 230m from the furthest piece of cover.

@ohnooh: I eyeballed the trajectory for the chopper and shot it with the non lock on rockets since they're so much stronger. You can two shot it before it even gets in range to engage and look for you.

Also is it weird I'm feeling better about my struggles in this mission reading everyone's replies. :D

The lead-in to the mission was really cool, but boy after the first checkpoint it can go to hell. That and Metallic Archaea I found to be pretty unfun, since both put such a huge emphasis on going loud, and that's not my style in these games at all. It's even worse for Mission 45 in that you take with you the equipment you had on the side op, which for me was the sneaking suit, tranq sniper rifle, tranq gun, and G44. None of those are effective at all. Since you don't really find out what you're getting into until after the game sets a check point, I had to start all over and wait a real long time dropping in each individual item I needed to complete the mission. As far as I know you can't back out to the ACC either, since the only option is to exit the game.

I'll try to get some parasites from the Code Talker mission (I've not used the parasite suit yet so I'm not really sure how it works).

As for weapons... Which rocket launcher should I use? Should I deploy with the Killer Bee or should I develop the CGM 25 (the "multi-lock homing missile")?

First time I ever used the chicken hat. It made the cut scenes afterwards pretty hilarious.

45 mgsv mission

Did you never develop good rocket launchers? Are you tired of laser percision sniping tanks? Are you tired of how useless quiet is? Well do I have a solution for you. This will not help you get S rank, just help you defeat the mission without all the stress and hassle.

Step 1) Hide inside the building. I like to hide right by the front entrance in the room with the couch.
Step 2) Tell Quiet to stop providing cover fire (this will take a few attempts, but eventually she will stop attacking and stop getting attacked)
Step 3) Wait. Most of the tanks will eventually come right up in front of the building
Step 4) Air strike

It'll take some time, but quiets health won't even reach half, and you won't get hit or need to fire a single rocket (except for the chopper).

Is this method lame? Yes. Is this mission dog s***? Yes. What could've been a really cool duo of quiet taking out all the infantry while you take out the tanks (which is what I thought was going to happen), ends up becoming a one vs all, except without stealth, and sniper accurate tanks.

An Air Stike? Are you insane? That will restrict you to an A Ranking, plus you can beat this mission without even dying or Quiet even losing health.

This mission is a very predictable that you can predict the next wave of enemies and spawn trap heavy vehicles and stop tanks before they even come close. Your solution is honestly bad advice, unless you're desperate to pass the mission. Otherwise, it's not that hard, only time-consuming.

1 simple tip.. use Parasite armor.
Extract all tanks. Be quick.

I tried a variety of methods, and the best just came down to fulton the vehicles. The problem is primarily the soldiers, and I've always been stealth, so I didn't even have a good assault rifle, just really good pistols and snipers. I thought quiet would cover the soldiers, so no problem. She didn't, and I'd take care of all the tanks, while the soldiers would tear me to pieces. Keep in mind, I almost developed nothing in my playthrough. I developed the pistol for better aim, and the sniper for tranq cabilities, that's it. I loved sneaking into areas, and taking out the guards one by one silently. The other missions that called for tanks and artillary didn't have a bunch of soldiers, so I could easily fulton their vehicles.

Also, this is to pass the mission only, not get a good score. Out of all the missions, I found this mission to be my most hated, and I cared very little for it and just wanted to pass the easiest stress free way possible (basically impossible to die, do it in one shot). The method I state above is exactly that. Impossible to die (I didn't even have soldiers come in the building), and the first time I tried that method, it worked like a charm. I literally would leave my controller down, go do s*** for a minute or 2, come back, airstrike. Rinse and repeat till this garbage mission was over.

Here you have your perfect answer. Close topic

It's gonna be pee-pee pants city here real soon.

I run over enemy soldiers in a jeep and blow up the tanks with me rockie launcher. Don't know if it was mission 45, it was a side mission to destroy tanks

Excessive pies and lack of exercise for I live on snacks, potatoes in packs and I feast on grease, so call the health police

Fulton all vehicles!!! Free tanks and you don't have to blow them up!

@samman

there are Mortars and AA Emplacements if you're trying to Subsist

you could also have a Tank or APC AirDrop if you own any

I didn't have parasite armor because I never developed it. Mortars and AA will get destroyed, plus sniping tanks will take you out if you just sit there. This method was for those in similar situations. Have developed nothing, want to get this mission over with, with as little hassle and effort as possible. I like stealth missions, these go loud missions aren't exactly my type, so I just wanted to finish the mission asap (e.g. sit in a corner, airstrike, yay I'm done now to do the stealth missions). Not that I'm saying any of your solutions are wrong or bad, just different playstyles depending on your situation.

【MGSV:TPP】Episode 45 : A Quiet Exit (S Rank/All Tasks/Perfect Stealth)

Legs spread wide, I was lying on the table with my chest. The other two sat in chairs and looked at me. Vasily Alexandrovich thrust his penis into my wet pussy, which, after such a fuck, started to flow completely. I had a wet cunt, ass, legs. Everything glistened with grease and semen.

Now discussing:

Suddenly he stopped and said: Do you remember, we have been here often. They imperceptibly entered the far part of the park, which was not so well-groomed and. The thickets of bushes along the path seemed impassable. In previous years, they often climbed into this part of the park and kissed, hiding in the bush, where there were small meadows that few people knew.

About.
