Good csgo crosshairs

Good csgo crosshairs DEFAULT

These are the most popular crosshairs among CSGO players

Crosshairs have a massive impact on your gunplay in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Stats have shown that most players opt for a particular type of crosshair in CSGO both in high and low-ranked games.

Crosshairs are of utmost importance in any shooter game. The type of crosshair you pick may depend on your play style, but most CSGO players have similar preferences. A classic CSGO crosshair should be static, have a medium size, and its color should pop out across all maps, as recent data by DatHost has revealed.

Tons of CSGO players have unusual crosshairs like the plain dot briefly used by Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, massive crosshairs that acquire the entire screen, and some that are simply the default dynamic option. However, a particular type of crosshair is being sported by most CSGO players.

DatHast’s stats show that most CSGO players are using style four crosshair without a dot. The classic static crosshair remains stable while shooting or moving, unlike styles 2, 3, and 5. Most CSGO professionals also create their custom settings around style four as it offers more stability. Size also adds tons of value to your aim, and the most-used crosshair has an average size. The green color pops paired with size two highlights the crosshair in almost maps, no matter the map’s color palette.

The crosshair ranked third is quite similar to the one Natus Vincere’s Denis “electronic” Sharipov is currently using. This small and compressed crosshair is ideal for players who think a dot is too inaccurate and a full cross is too large. The blue colour is also a great pick as no map in the competitive pool clashes with this bright tone.

Many players still prefer the default crosshair on style 4, which provides a giant size, but remains stable while shooting. It can be tricky to practice on maps like Nuke, where small corners can get buried under long lines. The fifth-ranked pink size two with zero gaps is also widely used by CSGO players.

How to set the best CSGO crosshair

The most popular crosshair among casual players and pros has the ideal settings for most CSGO competitors. You can roll with this crosshair if you’re new to the game while finding your personal style to customize later. Here’s how you can get and use the best CSGO crosshair in 2021.

The Best Crosshair For CS GO

What Is The Best Crosshair For CS GO?

If you have landed on this article you are probably aware of the importance of proper crosshair settings. We are not going to go over the importance of those settings but we will say that proper crosshair settings can make the difference between a good player and a great one.

If you have watched any CS GO streamer recently, you already know that almost all of them use some sort of a small static crosshair.

I believe you should customize your crosshair based on your own play-style. So, without further ado, let’s start analyzing some pro player crosshairs and use them as our starting point.

You can check out all the crosshairs on this list using our pro CS:GO players database or use the crosshair map as shown in the video below.

n0thing – Best overall

n0thing is probably the most likable personality in CS GO. His crosshair is used by a large number of players and for a good reason. If you take a closer look at n0thing’s crosshair you might suspect it looks very similar to the default crosshair and you would be right. n0thing is using a very simple static crosshair with slight modifications.

The crosshair is of moderate size and is colored the normal neon green color. The thickness and length values are also a little higher than the default ones.

The end result is a beautiful robust crosshair that can be used across all situations. n0thing is a rifler but you can use it for AWPing as well because the crosshair is big enough while maintaining the center gap small for rifling.

We highly recommend you to check out n0thing’s detailed profile page on our site to learn more about his crosshair settings and gear.

KennyS – Best for AWPers

KennyS is one of the best AWPers to ever play the game. We chose him as our first example because of his rather simple crosshair. KennyS crosshair is a great example of the standard Pro player crosshair and we highly recommend every player to start with a crosshair similar to KennyS.kennyscrosshair

As you can tell from the picture to the right KennyS crosshair is very simple it features the popular light blue color and it looks like your normal static crosshair.

We highly recommend you to start with a simple crosshair and welcome you to copy KennyS exact crosshair settings from his profile page on our site.

Stewie2k – Best for Riflers

Stewie2K is one of the most popular CS GO players in the world. He is using a very small static crosshair. Small crosshairs are typically used by riflers to more easily hit headshots and improve their overall aimStewie2k crosshair. The reason Stewie and a lot of other riflers don’t use large crosshairs is that in most cases large crosshairs can slightly decrease your accuracy with weapons such as the AK-47 or M4A4. You will mostly see AWPers such as KennyS use bigger crosshairs to more easily envision their AWP scope.

We recommend you to use Stewie2k’s crosshair if you are a rifler and already possess a decent aim as smaller crosshairs tend to have a steeper learning curve.

You can check out Stewie’s exact crosshair settings on his dedicated page on our website.

F0rest – Best for AWP/Rifler (Hybrids)

F0rest crosshair from youtubeF0rest is one of the best players in the history of counter strike. We have seen F0rest alternate between a few different types of crosshairs. It seems as he has finally settled with his current yellowish crosshair. His crosshair is perfect for those of you who double as both AWPers and Riflers.

The reason F0rest’s crosshair is so good for both AWPers and Riflers is its color and size. F0rest is using a fairly neutral color and an overall medium size. This combination allows the user to easily hit headshots thanks to the relative size and color and also helps the player envision an AWP scope thanks to the rather long lines.

We highly recommend you to use F0rest’s crosshair if you are playing as an AWPer/Rifler.

 Olofmeister – Best for veterans

Olofmeister is another worlds class player and probably the best player on our list. Olofmeister is using the most advanced crosshair on our list for the simple fact that it is white. White crosshairs are the best if you get Olofmeister crosshairused to them, other than the unusual color Olofmeister is using pretty standard thickness and length parameters.

We highly recommend you to start with some of the other crosshairs on this list before you start using this type of partially transparent crosshairs.

That being said, with enough practice you can get proficient with a white crosshair and enjoy the most flawless aiming experience thanks to the fact that white crosshairs won’t interfere with anything going on in the game and won’t be a distraction or hide any valuable information from your sight.

CS:GO is a game of strategy and reflexes. Even if you have the perfect gameplan, you’ll need a decent aim to seal the deal. While most professional players have years of experience, you can try to catch up to them, starting with aim training maps.

These maps are specifically designed to improve your aim by putting you in various in-game situations that will sharpen your skills. There’s one thing that most of these maps miss out on mentioning, however, and that’s the importance of your crosshair. If you’ve tuned into any professional matches, you may have noticed that not a single professional uses the default crosshair.

The main reason why players customize their crosshair is because the regular one is actually less than ideal when it comes to accuracy. While it does a good job of informing you about your weapon’s current spread rate, it can be too distracting at times. Most members of the community already know when their shots are accurate and when they have a wide spread rate, so having an indicator for that eventually becomes pointless.

Alongside making your crosshair more stable you can also tinker with its size and color to make it more noticeable while playing. These minor adjustments are usually up to personal preferences, but taking a look at what the best players in the game are doing will always be a decent idea to improve your gameplay. Feel free to make any changes to these crosshairs since the results may also vary depending on your monitor’s color profile.

Here are the best crosshair settings that pros use in CS:GO.

How can you use other players’ crosshair settings in CS:GO?

Before starting off with different players’ crosshair setups, you learn how you can copy and paste to use them as fast as possible in your next CS:GO match.

Though there is a custom crosshair configuration tool within the game’s settings, you’ll be able to start using a professional player’s layout by copy and pasting their console command line into your game.

You’ll need to turn on the console through the game’s in-game settings and launch it to enter the following crosshair codes.

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshairdot 1; cl_crosshairgap -1; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 5; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255;

The time frame between when s1mple was considered as a prodigy and then an absolute legend was relatively short. Even participating in the North American region at some point, s1mple is one of the best players in CS:GO.

As you move onto other entries on our list, you’ll notice that s1mple actually goes against the flow with his yellowish and slightly larger crosshair. While it may look different, his crosshair simply accomplishes the same goals.

S1mple uses the dot inside his crosshair as a way of measuring his accuracy. The wider crosshair is mostly because he prefers to have a clearer vision on his targets, which’s another aspect you should consider while deciding on your crosshair.

More closed down crosshair will essentially lower how much of your enemies you’re seeing and we recommend testing at least a couple of different configurations to see which style fits your gameplay better.

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -4; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 0*; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255;

Prodigies look to have one thing in common and that seems to be their accuracy. ZywOo tiny crosshair showcases that he’s all about being pinpoint accurate with his shots.

He was able to overthrone s1mple as the best player in the game during his first year within the scene, making this crosshair configuration a must-try even if you decide on using one of the other ones.

You’ll notice that despite being small, there’s still an opening in the middle of ZywOo’s crosshair. Players usually prefer doing this to make identifying targets from a long distance easier. When there’s a solid dot in the middle, it may get considerably harder to tell whether you’re aiming for the head.

  • cl_crosshairalpha 250; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -3; cl_crosshairsize 2; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0;

The veteran names in the CS:GO all feature one core similarity and that’s the struggles they went through during the early days of competitive gaming. Back in the days, not many computers could be considered as gaming grade and players even struggled with ping issues to servers that were close to them.

These kinds of difficulties slowly disappeared as technology became more accessible, but Ropz still had to start his career with a less than ideal setup. Despite playing suboptimal frames, ropz was still able to get into the Challenger tier of FACEIT, which allowed him to break into the competitive scene.

If you’re looking for a crosshair with a little story behind it, then this one’s for you. Ropz’ crosshair is tailored for riflers and frequent SMG users since it is on the smaller side of the scale.

  • cl_crosshairalpha 200; cl_crosshaircolor 4; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -2; cl_crosshairsize 2; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1;

There are only a few professional CS:GO players that can be remembered for their prowess of a single weapon in the game, but kennyS is one of them. When anyone thinks of the AWP, his name comes to mind and his crosshair reflects that.

The size and shape of kennyS’ crosshair resembles the middle of the scope of an AWP, allowing the player to visualize before right clicking on his mouse.

If you find yourself spending more time with sniper rifles while playing CS:GO, kennyS’ crosshair will be just right for you.

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap 0; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 5; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 0; cl_crosshaircolor_g 0; cl_crosshaircolor_r 250;

A newer generation of professional CS:GO players have already arrived, but they still have a lot to learn from the veterans. F0rest’s career speaks for itself and the Swede is still active in the scene, showing that he still isn’t done with his legacy.

F0rest’s crosshair is a decent fit for anyone that rotates between different weapon types throughout a game. Despite shining as a rifler, f0rest himself also doesn’t hesitate picking up an AWP if it’s needed.

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -2; cl_crosshairsize 2.5; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255;

Stewie2k is a legendary CS:GO player from the North American scene and an exceptional rifler. Stewie2k’s crosshair works even better if you’re familiar with the guns that you’ll be using.

The colors may seem a little off at first since green is almost like the industry standard when it comes to custom crosshairs. The yellow-ish tint especially proves itself useful in darker maps.

Though quite a while has passed since n0thing’s prime, the years hardly ever took away anything from his skillset.

N0thing’s layout is quite similar to the default crosshair settings, making it a superb choice for players that don’t want to stroll away from the basics. If you consider as a variety player than perform with all types of weapons, this crosshair will be a solid base for you to work with.

Best CSGO Crosshair

When things are not going your way, you are automatically searching for the best CSGO crosshair. Despite this being a placebo, switching to another crosshair will definitely help you out as you will be more focused on your aim.

Want to know where to go to practise with your new CSGO crosshair? Check out our aim maps page to learn how. Aim maps will help you get out of your slump through methodical and practical aim training without the pressure of playing with other players.

Why change from the default CS:GO crosshair?

The default CSGO crosshair has a few issues with it. First of all, it is quite bulky. Bulky crosshairs will make it harder to hit headshots. It is also dynamic, meaning when you move your crosshair expands. This is not optimal for consistent aim. Every pro player uses a static crosshair. This will allow you to hit shots more consistently. Additionally, some people do not like the bright green colour of the default crosshair

If you have checked out any CSGO Twitch streamers, you may have noticed that all of them use  static crosshair that is on the smaller side. This is something that is consistent across all good csgo players.

How Does the Best CSGO Crosshair Look Like?

Honestly, we are all different. Some players will prefer bigger crosshairs while others will look to make it as small as possible.

Personally, big crosshair is a big no from us because we simply can’t focus on things happening around us. But still, everyone has its own preferences, this is why it is hard to point a finger and say that a particular crosshair is the best CSGO crosshair out there.

However, we can agree on one thing. Every CSGO crosshair should be colored in green, purple, yellow or red. These are the colors that barely ever appear on Counter-Strike maps hence why your crosshair will not blend with the surroundings.

Best CS GO Crosshair for Headshots

Big and bulky crosshairs simply will not cut it for headshots. Killing someone with a headshot requires a good aim and a crosshair that is around the size of a head in CSGO.

Fun fact, if you check the crosshairs of the best CSGO players, you will notice that hard-hitters such as NiKo and s1mple are both using a small crosshair.

Best crosshair for CSGO, from our perspective, is a simple dot. There are a couple of advantages and disadvantages regarding this type of crosshair. Let’s start with the advantages.

If you are a good aimer, then you will not have any problems adjusting to this crosshair. On top of that, if you prefer short bursts and tapping, this is by far the best CSGO crosshair for you.

However, spray control can be really hard with this type of crosshair. Do the math yourself and if you want to give it a go, below, you can find the best CS GO crosshair settings for it.

Best Crosshair CS GO for New Players

Honestly, if you are completely new to this game, crosshair should be the smallest problem you will encounter. For the sake of it, we will provide you with a couple of tips regarding the best CS GO crosshair settings.

If you are a new CSGO player, you should stick to the default crosshair. You can also use the ones with small edits regarding the size and the gap of your crosshair. Keep in mind that you can use crashz’s crosshair generator in order to see what pro players use.

How to Change Crosshair in CSGO

There are 2 ways of changing your crosshair in CSGO. In order to edit the best crosshair for CSGO, we will provide you with two step-by-step guides that you can follow. Let’s start with the easier one.

The Best CSGO Crosshairs Pros Use

There are over 1500 Counter-Strike athletes around the globe. However, only a few of those are ranked amongst the absolute best players.

1. Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev

S1mple is all over CSGO news. By far the best CSGO player that ever touched this game. So, does he also have the best CSGO crosshair?

Truth be told, s1mple is using a relatively small crosshair and this is why we would recommend you give this crosshair a try. Oleksandr’s settings for crosshair can be found below.

2. Nikola “NiKo” Kovač

One of the best pure aimers on the planet is definitely NiKo. You literally can’t be more precise. In order to achieve this level, Nikola practiced a lot. However, he also used an excellent crosshair that is perfect for tapping and bursting.

Small green crosshair that is not static did wonders for the Bosnian superstar. This type of crosshair definitely deserves to be called as the best crosshair for CSGO. You can find Nikola’s crosshair commands down below.

[Top 10] CSGO Best Crosshairs (Used By The Best Players In The World)

Choosing a crosshair is an integral part of CS:GO. Whether it’s green, blue, pink, big, small, t-shaped, or even a dot, a crosshair relies on comfort not only from shooting, but moving as well. In fact, one of the best ways to find the perfect crosshair is to simply test it out; for example, how well do you see yourself spraying, bursting, and one tapping? And at what distances do you feel the most comfortable and uncomfortable?

If you’re having a hard time choosing one, you can easily experiment with a pro’s crosshair (via copy and paste using a script or one-by-one in the console). That said, today I’ll be showing you the top crosshairs used by some of the best players in the world.

10. Grim

Simple and easy to see.

Grim’s crosshair features a light neon green color in the shape of a cross. You can see a slight gap in the middle, but if you look closely, it also resembles a clear square dot. Thanks to the vibrant color, it’s easier to spot as you shoot and move along. However, it also tends to be smaller than most crosshairs (slightly zoomed in for clarity) used today. One reason being is so that the crosshair aligns more closely with your enemy’s head without overextending to the body.

About Grim

Grim currently plays for Team Liquid as a rifler and entry fragger. He was born in 2000 and currently resides in Austin, Texas. In 2020, he and team Triumph ranked first in the ESEA S33: Premier Division-North America Finals ($12,500/$27,500). So far, he boasts an impressive ~50% headshot this year, according to HLTV.

What’s Good About Grim’s Crosshair

  • Easy to see (color)
  • Slightly thicker than some of the modern-day smaller crosshairs, making it more transparent
  • Gap in the middle provides a, “fill in the blank” aka enemy’s head

Grim’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 200; cl_crosshaircolor 1; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -2; cl_crosshairsize 2; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 0; cl_crosshaircolor_g 0; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255;

9. Brehze

A white crosshair? Yes!

Brezhe uses a fairly small crosshair with no gaps. Depending on your screen’s settings and brightness, a white color (or shade) may help your crosshair standout. For brighter screens, however, a darker color, such as black, red, or even green, is more appropriate. Nevertheless, not all screens are created equal and thus, a white crosshair may be just what you need. As mentioned before, smaller crosshairs like Brehze’s immerse well with your enemy’s head.

About Brehze

Brehze currently plays for Evil Geniuses as a rifler and lurker. He was born in 1998 and resides in Florida. In 2019, he was ranked the 8th best player in the world and 20th in 2020. He was also the MVP at cs_summit 6 NA in 2020 ($22,000/$75,000).

What’s Good About Brehze’s Crosshair

  • Depending on your screen’s brightness, a white crosshair may stand out more
  • Covers the head pretty well
  • A closed crosshair may make it feel more complete, leaving nothing behind

Brehze’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_fixedcrosshairgap -4.5; cl_crosshaircolor 4; cl_crosshairstyle 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1;

8. blameF

A small, but distinct crosshair.

Another small crosshair, but teal this time. Thanks to its unique and vibrant color, the crosshair is easier to spot and track as you move along. It’s especially effective when your screen is slightly dim or over a darker background. Not only that, but it’s compact, focusing on a very small area, such as the head. On a side note, it sort of looks like the d-pad for a Playstation controller.

About blameF

Benjamin Bremer is a professional Danish CS:GO player for Complexity Gaming. His roles are not limited to, but include rifler and leader. He was ranked the 6th best player in 2020 and won first place in the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals ($335,000/$500,000).

What’s Good About blameF’s Crosshair

  • Unique and vibrant color
  • Small and compact
  • Aligns well with the enemy’s head across multiple distances

blameF’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 4; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -4; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_b 0; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255;

7. jks

A fairly large and transparent crosshair.

Jks uses a white crosshair with a gap in the middle. White, as I mentioned before, works well with a dark background or dim screen. Although the crosshair may slightly overlap with your enemy’s body (depending on the distance at head level), it’s also easier to see (and track) based on the size. It seems as if each side of the crosshair is pointing towards the middle, or toward your enemy’s head. Nevertheless, some players, such as jks, have no trouble getting headshots despite favoring a slightly larger crosshair.

About jks

Justin “jks” Savage is an Australian CS:GO player for Team Complexity. He is primarily known as a rifler and lurker. He was voted 15th best player in 2019 and 19th best player in 2020. As of now, his headshot percentage is roughly 53%. In 2019, he and team Renegades won the Asia Minor Championship in Katowice ($30,000/$50,000).

What’s Good About jks’s Crosshair

  • Bright
  • A larger crosshair makes it easier to track
  • A larger crosshair may encourage accuracy (over precision), since the crosshair focuses on the body/head vs just the head

jks’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 200; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshairdot 0; cl_crosshairgap -3; cl_crosshairsize 3; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 1; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 0.5; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255;

Yellow is another great color for a crosshair because of its brightness. Furthermore, the slightly larger size makes it easier to track, increasing its overall transparency. There is a slight gap in the middle, which also helps track and lockdown onto the enemy’s head. Although the crosshair is the same size regardless of the distance (thanks to an optical illusion), it seems to be slightly bigger as you move away from the target, overlapping to the neck and body. If you don’t want to compromise transparency and your screen is not too bright, then this crosshair might be for you.

5. apEX

You’ll know it when you see it.

One of the largest crosshairs I’ve presented thus far. Thanks to the size and color, it’s extremely transparent. And unlike previous ones, a dot sits in the middle, perhaps increasing its transparency ever so slightly. The crosshair tends to extend to the “ears” (if you will), but overall like most crosshairs, is fixated on the head. As a result, it may slightly encourage accuracy(general damage) over precision (headshots). I personally don’t mind a dotted crosshair because it reminds me of shooting a laser gun with precision.

About apEX

Dan Madesclaire (apEX) is a French CS:GO Player for team Vitality. He often acts as an in-game leader and rifler. In 2020, he won first place in the Blast Premier Fall league ($225,000/$425,000). Currently, his k/d sits at about 1.03.

What’s Good About apEX’s Crosshair

  • A dotted crosshair may guide/direct your focus to the head
  • Transparent thanks to the bright teal color and size
  • Completely covers the head with the right placement/distance, despite its large size; ideal for accuracy over precision

4. s1mple

As s1mple as that.

Although s1mple is primarily an AWPer, his skill set is noteworthy nevertheless. His crosshair features a white coat with a dot in the middle. From most distances, the crosshair covers your enemy’s head or center (of it) very well. From afar it looks interconnected, but upon taking a closer look, you’ll see it’s actually spread out a bit. Overall, it’s a small, but effective crosshair because it focuses heavily on aligning shots based on the size of your enemy’s head at close and long-range distances.

About s1mple

Arguably, if not, the top CS:GO player in the world. Born in Ukraine, he was ranked the top player by HLTV in 2018, and second-best player in 2019 and 2020. He also finished 1st in the Intel Extreme Masters Season XIV ($250,000/$500,000). S1mple currently plays for Natus Vincere.

What’s Good About s1mple’s Crosshair

  • Small and compact
  • Light color; preferably for dimmer screens
  • Does not extend to the body or outside the head; ideal for headshots

s1mple’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 5; cl_crosshairdot 1; cl_crosshairgap -1; cl_crosshairsize 1; cl_crosshairstyle 5; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 0; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshaircolor_r 255; cl_crosshaircolor_g 255; cl_crosshaircolor_b 255;

3. ScreaM

The headshot machine.

If you always wanted to experiment with a “dot” crosshair, then this might be for you. However, if it seems too small, you can slightly increase the thickness via in-game or script. I know a dot may seem far-fetched, but have you ever considered why some prefer a dot over a t-crosshair or vice versa? Anyhow, there are pros and cons to using a dot crosshair. Although visibility may be the biggest drawback, one of the main upsides is that it closely mimics the shape and size of your opponent’s head, and so, essentially, there is one less shape to worry about.

About ScreaM

Born in 1994, ScreaM was a professional CS:GO Belgian player of Moroccan descent. With a headshot percentage of ~68%, it’s no wonder he was nicknamed the, “Headshot Machine.” According to HLTV, he currently boasts the highest HPR (Headshots Per Round) at .50. In 2017, he and team EnVyUs won the DreamHack Open Atlanta ($50,000/$100,000).

What’s Good About ScreaM’s Crosshair

  • Simple
  • Small, like pointing a laser to the head; ideal for headshots
  • One of the closest crosshairs you’ll see that mimics the shape of your opponent’s head; ideal for headshots

  • cl_crosshairalpha 255; cl_crosshaircolor 4; cl_crosshairdot 1; cl_crosshairgap -999; cl_crosshairsize 3; cl_crosshairstyle 4; cl_crosshairusealpha 1; cl_crosshairthickness 0.5; cl_crosshair_drawoutline 1; cl_crosshair_outlinethickness 1; cl_crosshair_sniper_width 1; cl_crosshairgap_useweaponvalue 0; cl_crosshaircolor_b 250; cl_crosshaircolor_r 250; cl_crosshaircolor_g 250;

2. Ropz

Thanks to its size, you can also focus on the center of the head.

Ropz possesses a light crosshair using a green color with a small gap in the middle. From afar, however, it appears that the crosshair is intact. Depending on the distance, it usually covers your opponent’s head or center of it. Similar crosshairs tend to be effective because of their small size with respect to your enemy’s head; focusing on the center of the head may also require you to be even more precise over time. Assuming visibility isn’t an issue, then this crosshair could work for you.

About Ropz

Ropz is an Estonian CS:GO player for Mousesports. His primary roles include rifler and lurker. He is often praised for remaining calm and collective in intense moments. With a headshot percentage of ~52% and K/D ratio of 1.19, I could see why. Furthermore, he was ranked 10th best player in 2019, and 7th best player in 2020. Also, in 2020, he was the MVP of the ESL Pro League Season 10 ($250,000/$600,000).

  • Small and compact
  • Transparent (color)
  • Transparent (for headshots)

1. Shroud

How does he do it?

As one of the most iconic players in CS:GO, Shroud used a light blue crosshair without any gaps. The color is vibrant, making it more visible and easier to track. As for the size, it seems to be moderate; not as small as s1mple’s crosshair, but not as big as apEX’s. When you hover over the enemy’s head, the crosshair will almost perfectly align at various distances, like a face scan or grasping an object the size of your palm. Yes, Shroud knew what he was doing all along.

About Shroud

Mike Grzesiek is a retired Canadian CS:GO player who last played for Cloud9. In 2016, he placed first in the ESL Pro League Season 4 ($200,000/$750,000). But perhaps more importantly, Shroud was an exceptional rifler, given his solid aim, awareness, and clutch factor. According to HLTV, his headshot percentage sits at ~53% with a K/D of 1.12. He currently is a full-time streamer on Twitch.

What’s Good About Shroud’s Crosshair

  • “Moderately” sized
  • Crosshair immerses well with your opponent’s head, if not near to perfection
  • Bright color

Shroud’s Crosshair Settings

  • cl_crosshaircolor 3; cl_fixedcrosshairgap -2.5; cl_crosshairstyle 1; hud_showtargetid 1;
