- Apply panel- or similarly derived audience insights data to ad measurement data without a Legal Basis to apply market research to generate audience insights (Purpose 9)
Apply market research to generate audience insights
To apply market research to generate audience insights vendors can:
- Provide aggregate reporting to advertisers or their representatives about the audiences reached by their ads, through panel-based and similarly derived insights.
- Provide aggregate reporting to publishers about the audiences that were served or interacted with content and/or ads on their property by applying panel-based and similarly derived insights.
- Associate offline data with an online user for the purposes of market research to generate audience insights if vendors have declared to match and combine offline data sources (Feature 1)
- Combine this information with other information previously collected including from across websites and apps.
- Measure the performance and effectiveness of ads that a specific user was served or interacted with, without a Legal Basis to measure ad performance.

Audi TT Expert Review
New for 2017
After a 2016 redesign, the 2017 Audi TT coupe and roadster gain a standard rearview camera and power-folding, auto-dimming, heated side mirrors. A revised Technology Package includes Audi smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as MMI navigation plus, parking system plus with front and rear parking sensors, and Audi side assist. The optional Black Optic Package features black grille surround, black exterior mirror housings, and exclusive titanium-finish 19-inch alloy wheels.
As Audi's smallest sports cars, the TT and TTS coupe are joined by the larger A5, S5, and R8 coupes. The TT and TTS Roadster are joined by the A3 Cabriolet, A5 Sport Cabriolet, S5 Cabriolet, and R8 Spyder. While the coupe offers a small rear seat (that is best used as a package shelf), the roadster is just a two-seater.
Power for the 2017 Audi TT Coupe and Audi TT Roadster comes from the automaker's turbocharged 2.0-liter TSFI inline-four engine rated 220 hp and 258 lb-ft. (A more powerful TTS model makes 292 hp and 280 lb-ft.) A six-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission sends power to all four wheels via the automaker's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The 2016 Audi TT coupe and roadster are EPA-rated at 23/30 mpg city/highway.
The all-new third-generation 2016 Audi TT debuted the Audi virtual cockpit with a multi-function display that consolidates vehicle instrumentation, infotainment, connectivity, and navigation systems into a larger 12.3-inch screen in front of the driver. While the system's functions are controlled by the center console-mounted MMI rotary knob (or steering wheel-mounted buttons), there is no center stack screen. Additionally, the climate system's controls are integrated into the three round center vents. The new setup gives the interior a sleek, uncluttered look and feel.
The 2017 Audi TT coupe and roadster have not been evaluated by NHTSA or IIHS. For 2017, the TT gains a standard rearview camera, while front and rear parking sensors are included with the optional Technology Package. Other safety and convenience features include standard full LED headlights (including daytime running lights), LED taillights with dynamic turn signals, automatic headlights/windshield wipers, and optional side assist.
What We Think
During our 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year testing, we noted: "Audi's virtual cockpit is a virtuoso display of user interface software and hardware that drew mixed reviews from the judges. 'My favorite part is the Google Maps feature,' enthused Christian Seabaugh. 'I love being able to see a satellite view of the road ahead by doing no more than glancing down a couple degrees.' There is so much information offered, and so many pathways with which to access it, however, that it can be a touch overwhelming to deal with at first. 'Not a lot of it is intuitive,' grumbled Ed Loh."
In our 2016 Audi TT/TTS First Test, we concluded: "Though beautifully executed, well-equipped, and generally pleasant to drive, the 2016 Audi TT exists in a curious automotive twilight zone. Audi would like you to think the TT is a Porsche Boxster rival. It isn't. Competent rather than inspiring, it's not quite a sports car. And it's not quite a luxury coupe, either."
Powered by a 400-hp 2.5-liter turbo-five coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Audi TT RS is the most engaging model to drive in the TT lineup. In a 2017 First Drive, we said that the TT RS offers exceptional levels of driving enjoyment thanks to its accurate steering, powerful engine, and high levels of grip. With the optional magnetorheological dampers, the TT RS becomes a viable daily driver, as well, as the system enables the driver to soften up the otherwise stiff suspension.
The Virtual Cockpit uses a NVIDIA quad core processing power that can refresh Google Maps at up to 60 frames per second.
