Magnum 18 Front Crankshaft Seal

Update: Well, Steve's post makes THREE people that mentioned some sort of a glue or sealing compound to hold these seals in place, so that's what I did...

First, I got the seal from a forum sponsor, and a can of Permatex Hi-Tack from the local NAPA and installed the seal, waited 24hrs, then reinstalled everything else (PTO, muffler, shields, etc)

After finally having a rain-free day yesterday, I can tell you that the seal seems to be holding just fine after a two-hour mowing session.

The tough part of this job was not tearing it down and installing the seal, it was cleaning up the MAJOR MESS the oil made all over everything. There was oil everywhere under the hood, as well as on the mower deck and the belts like you took a misting bottle and sprayed down the entire tractor from the console on forward!

Anyway, if anyone else has this issue, buy a new seal and a can of Permatex and you'll be good.

20 HP Kohler Engine oil Leak

hi ,
crank end float could be a lssue ,to much will cause the lips of the seal to move to much and prevent a good seal .

Is the seal surface on the crank ok ??

Running clearance between journal and crank could be a issue
I have seen very bad wear marks in the main journals [surface on closure plate and in block ]of these engines. Mainly from being run low on oil for a large amount of time . The engines with this noticable wear you do not even have to measure TERMINAL u can feel with finger etc

NB as u may be aware a kohler runs a metric seal at one end and a imperial seal at the other . Use both metric or both imperial seals and u will have a leak .

On a walker the cover seal is next to the exhaust --use a high temperature seal

Yes i have experienced the oil leak u mention

Using 2x seals is ok also BUT remember there is a oil drain hole in the seal area ,donot cover this .Install seal when cover is off is best

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.

From above, the view was better and sometimes the gaze stopped on one or another passenger (usually a girl), stopped for a moment, and went on. Probably, this is how my "underground journey" would have passed if she had not entered the salon. My dispassionate gaze stopped on her for a second, appreciated.

And I don't need anything from you, except you and your pussy. I just want to fuck you once, and if you stop kicking and yelling at the whole office, no one will know about it. The next. Moment, I gagged Nina's mouth with her own black panties, ripping them out of her fist. I squeeze her mouth with her panties with one hand, I was almost able to turn her back to me.
