Good news for all you iCarly fans out there, Nickelodeon has just released iCarly: Season Two, Volume Three on DVD! 

Here are the episodes, and their synopsis, which are included on iCarly: Season Two, Volume Three:

Disc 1:
iTwins-  Freddie tries to prove that Melanie, Sam’s twin sister, is just Sam in disguise. Also, Carly tutors Spencer’s nemesis Chuck, who Spencer is convinced is evil.

 iSpeed Date- Sam announces a “Take Carly to the Dance” contest for an upcoming Girls’ Choice dance. Due to the large turnout, Carly, Sam and Freddie hold a speed-dating session to meet all the potential dates. Meanwhile, Spencer follows a bizarre workout regimen from a new application on his Pear Phone.

iCarly Awards- Carly, Sam and Freddie host the iCarly Awards for the best fan-generated content, and they honor the winners live on the web show. Spencer enlists European swimsuit models to help make the award statuettes.

iHave My Principals-  When Carly, Sam and Freddie accidentally get Principal Franklin fired, Miss Briggs and Mr. Howard take control of the school – enforcing harsh rules and a dress code. In addition, Spencer hires an old rodeo star to teach him how to ride a mechanical bull.

iFind Lewbert’s Lost Love- When the gang discovers that Lewbert used to be a happy young man engaged to a beautiful woman, they set out to reunite the lost lovers. Meanwhile, Spencer joins the building watch in order to catch a thief.

iMove Out- Fed up with his Mom treating him like a baby, Freddie decides to move out into his own place. Also, the gang starts a successful pet photography business and ends up feuding with a rival pet photo studio.

Disc 2:

iQuit iCarly- (hour-long TV movie) The iCarly gang invites two up-and-coming wacky web comedians, Fleck and Dave, to be guests on their show. When Carly and Sam learn that the guys are entering a web contest for a cash prize, they volunteer to help create an awesome video. Unfortunately, Fleck and Dave have a big blowout, which results in Carly and Sam taking sides and putting their own friendship to the test. Their rift makes it increasingly difficult for them to continue doing the web show, leaving Freddie and the rest of their fans to wonder if this is the end of iCarly. Meanwhile, Spencer’s obsession to win a boat pays off and he finds himself the owner of a new speedboat. However, without a place to dock his prize, Spencer is left to captain the boat in the parking lot, much to the dismay of one of his neighbors, who plays for his college’s baseball team – the Pirates.

iWas A Pageant Girl- Sam reveals to Carly and Freddie that she used to compete in pageants when she was younger. She convinces Carly to compete against her long-time rival at a competition in Seattle. Meanwhile, Spencer convinces Freddie to go on a double date but things get a little too competitive.

iEnrage Gibby- When Gibby discovers Freddie and his girlfriend in a compromising position, he vows revenge and challenges Freddie to a fight. Meanwhile, Spencer’s art career really takes off when the local paper incorrectly reports his death.

iSaved Your Life- (extended director’s cut version) Freddie is injured when he saves Carly from a runaway taco truck. After Freddie’s daring rescue, Carly starts to see Freddie in a different light. Sam tries to warn him that Carly’s feelings are based on guilt and not true love; however, Freddie is happy that the girl of his dreams is finally his girlfriend. Sam is involved in her own risky mission – competing against Spencer in a paintball game called Assassin. Danger lurks around every corner and only one person can be left standing… paint-free.

iSpace Out- An eccentric billionaire asks the gang to perform the first live web show from outer space. While they undergo tests, a mysterious little girl visits Spencer in his loft.

iFix A Popstar- When Carly, Sam and Freddie agree to make a music video for a pop star who’s trying to make a comeback, they discover that the pop star is out of shape and untalented. Meanwhile, Spencer has trouble dating a woman when he discovers she’s Gibby’s mom.

Disc 3

iWon’t Cancel The Show- Carly and Freddie vow that the web show must go on even when Sam ends up in jail. They try to enlist Spencer’s help at the last minute but he has a date he can’t cancel.

iBelieve in Bigfoot- Bigfoot fever hits Seattle when hikers capture fuzzy footage of a suspicious figure in the woods. After an expert validates the footage on the web show, Carly convinces the gang to take Socko’s RV upstate to join the search for Bigfoot.

iPsycho- (hour-long TV movie) Carly, Sam and Freddie decide to make a slight detour on their way to a web conference to visit a fan of the show on her sixteenth birthday. When they arrive, they discover that their super fan Nora is lonely and awkward, and no one has shown up for her birthday party. To make Nora feel better, Carly suggests they do a special iCarly webcast and invite Nora’s classmates to her house. The plan works, and the party is a huge hit. So much so, that Nora decides she doesn’t want her new friends to leave and locks them in her father’s recording studio. Despite their best efforts, Carly, Sam and Freddie are unable to break out of Nora’s basement, so they trick her into sending a secret message to Gibby. Can Gibby decode the message and save the day?

iBeat The Heat-When a heat wave hits Seattle and the power goes out, Spencer comes to the rescue with a Norwegian air-conditioner and generator. Word quickly spreads throughout the building and the gang suddenly finds the loft filled with uninvited guests.

iBloop- This special episode includes never-before-seen bloopers and outtakes from the entire series’ run with introductions by the cast.

There aren’t many tweens and teens that don’t love iCarly. Since the show debuted in , its irresistible combination of wacky humour and engaging plotlines has delighted its audience without fail. I first saw this show a few years ago when my teenage sister put it on while visiting my house and I couldn’t believe how funny it was! So when I got to review the newest DVD compilation of the show, iCarly: Season 2, Volume 3, I couldn’t wait. Here’s a brief synopsis:

Here are Carly, Sam, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby coming to you LIVE to wrap up Season 2. This insane collection includes the first-ever iCarly Awards, Sam’s pageant girl days and, of course, the episode that left us all wanting more, iSaved Your Life. This DVD set includes 15 episodes and two TV movies! Now that calls for some random dancing!

The episodes cover the life of Carly, a teenage girl that hosts a popular Internet show with her two best friends, Sam and Freddie. The three friends’ adventures both at school and at home shooting iCarly provide plenty of opportunities for fun and laughter. Whether they are thinking of pranks to pull on each other, trying to escape from a crazed fan or looking for dates to a dance, their adventures are always hilariously entertaining.

Carly’s year-old brother Spencer is, for me, the best part of the show. As fun and entertaining as the other characters are, it is Spencer’s wacky personality that always has me laughing out loud when I watch iCarly. This DVD collection was no exception; Spencer’s antics were always unexpected and priceless.

The three-disc set contains 15 episodes of the show, two one-hour TV movies and some very fun special features. The ultimate gift for any iCarly fan, it’s a great choice for family-friendly entertainment. If you’ve got tweens or teens in the house, they’re sure to love the iCarly: Season 2, Volume 3 DVD set. And after watching a few episodes, you may just find that you enjoy the show as much as your children do!

I grew up watching Nickelodeon. Shows like Lizzy Mcguire, The Secret World of Alex Mack, and Clarissa Explains it All were some of my favorites! Of course, I haven’t seen what is on the network for a good years so I am totally out of the loop, but I recently got the chance to review iCarly: Season 2, Volume 2 on DVD.

TWO TIMES THE LAUGHS WITH iCARLY&#;S SECOND SEASON

“A whole new collection of iCarly episodes are coming to DVD with iCarly: Season 2, Volume 2.&#; This brand-new set includes the hour-long “iFight Shelby Marx” movie, Sam’s surprising confession of having shared a kiss with Freddie, Carly’s bad-boy boyfriend dilemma and much more!”

My ‘almost 6 year old’ watched a few episodes of iCarly and really enjoyed them, although I am not sure she really understood anything that was going on. Miranda Cosgrove, who plays Carly is the host of a popular webshow and things tend to get a little crazy & silly. Something any tween would love to watch.

I think it’s fun that they take real situations from real viewers and work it into the show. Your child can go online and submit story ideas, comments, and videos, some of which will be used on air. Of course, you should monitor your child anytime he/she goes on the web.

While I think this TV show is fun & entertaining, it is definitely geared toward older children (I would say 10 years or older). It involves dating, flirting with, & crushing on boys which is definitely not something I want my daughter to learn anytime soon. On another note, if you have a tween, they will love this show. The language is clean & the story lines are a lot of fun!

The writing keeps getting better on this show

"The first time Nickelodeon sent us a DVD volume of iCarly, it felt like what it was: a Nickelodeon show from a new generation of programming. Now though, I&#;m willing to consider that iCarly might just have had a place back in the good old early 90s days of Nickelodeon glory alongside Pete & Pete, Clarissa Explains It All and All That. Season One, Volume Two of iCarly felt like a newer kids&#; show with little gems of classic Nickelodeon mixed in, but the second season seems off to a happy inverse of that. iCarly has achieved a creatively funny streak that easily reminds me of a better Nickelodeon. But there&#;s a reason for that: Dan Schneider, one of the producers of All That (and one of its writers - but only in the later years) writes for iCarly.

Still running a show out of the loft where she and her brother live, Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) lives an otherwise normal life. Spencer (Jerry Trainor), her brother, is a comically eccentric sculptor with a penchant for spaghetti tacos, all-night video game obsessions and creating highly flammable metallic Christmas trees. Carly&#;s two partners on iCarly are Freddie (Nathan Kress), the tech guy, and Sam (Jennette McCurdy), her co-host. More often than not, the show gets them into all sorts of trouble including trips to Japan for award shows, fake car giveaways and feuding with other internet stars. Through it all Carly, Sam and Freddie struggle to keep their personal lives and their public personas separated; only to find them bleeding through into one another.

The funny Sam and Freddie rivalry continues in the second season, though it doesn&#;t occupy quite the limelight that it did in the first season. The shift in this case doesn&#;t really help the show&#;s comic strengths but it replaces the Freddie vs. Sam moments with a lot more Spencer - and fans of the show will agree that that&#;s not so bad. Jerry Trainor looks more and more like a Jim Carrey on the rise. His facial contortions, his spasmodic body language and his general wackiness give the Spencer character that special quality reminiscent of older Nickelodeon comedy. The same can be said for Jennette McCurdy who gives the perfect air to the wildly cynical Sam and imbues her with the deadpan personality that the character needs to stay relevant. I said this with the first season&#;s review, but Cosgrove still feels like the weakest link in the cast; Trainor has the wackiness; McCurdy has the deadpan delivery; Nathan Kress has the look of victimized exasperation; and all Cosgrove really brings is a slightly too heavily ham-handed spin on the comedy. She works as the more innocent of the show&#;s hosts, but her persona just isn&#;t as strong as McCurdy&#;s. It may be less her fault and more the writings, but there&#;s an imbalance there that just makes me wonder why she&#;s more the titular character than the other two.

But I digress. For all intents and purposes the show is television gold for a new generation. I won&#;t guarantee that anyone over 16 will enjoy it, but there are crazier things. The writing is sharp and it feels like Nickelodeon is letting its content return to that sarcastic edge that made Nick programming special all those years ago. My biggest gripe with the release is Nickelodeon&#;s insistence on these Volume 1/Volume 2 sets. With only 11 episodes it&#;s hard to justify paying typical TV on DVD prices - even with an extended length episode in the mix. Nickelodeon should really just release the two volumes as one - but oh well.

DVD Extra Features:

There are really only two extra features and one of them is deleted scenes, so as far as I&#;m concerned: one extra feature. But it&#;s a decent one and it chronicles the making of the extra long "iGo to Japan" episode. It&#;s fun to watch the cast interact because they&#;re every bit as energetic and enthusiastic as they seem in the show. Most people will probably just skip it, but it&#;s nice they included it for those who care."
