Hello Everyone,
I have tried setting up Win 10 on this type of PC however the audio drivers installed automatically (by WU) does not produce any sound via speakers/headphones/internal speaker.
Installing drivers via HP also has the same problem:

Is anyone here successful with W10 64bit on this system with sound working? System works great on W7.

it's a realtek audio chipset. have you tried getting the driver from Realtek and trying it?

Morning, I did I believe but can try again. Had also tried a 3rd party driver manager program called Snappy Driver Installer. I will need to put together a more detailed list (with images) and attach it with everything I tried.

3. Locating a driver via Hardware ID in Device Manager that pointed to Realtek's website.
4. Third party driver programs e.g. Snappy Driver Installer
5. Hammer to be tested.

Software and drivers for HP Compaq Pro 6300 Microtower PC
Unit has reached its HP end of life and is not supported under Windows 10.
● Update BIOS.
● Disable/uncheck "Turn on fast startup (recommended)"
You can do it via Control Panel, registry or GPO.

● Use Snappy Driver Installer Lite to obtain correct and missing drivers. You may also test older drivers than suggested.

Don't install Microsoft Surface ACPI driver if offered.

Update:
What seems to be the latest compatible BIOS update shows up as an incompatible ROM image when using the BIOS Flash procedure. So I went with the second most recent with no change. Also the remaining regedit tip didn't work. Drivers are installing just fine without problems (HP Support Assist, Win 10, Snappy etc), its just no audio as a result.
USB works fine, just not able to use the headphone jacks, other than that, no other problems with the system so I'll have to live with that for now.
